If you are under warranty, definitely make it their problem!
Mine seems to have resolved with getting the windshield replaced (again). I also park it on the inclined driveway in reverse.. so I did two things that potentially fixed the issue.
I have noticed that the carpet feels a bit damp, but...
Having done it, get a roof rack and put the spare tire up there! I put it in the back of my JLU. I had to fold the back seats down, as a 35" is just a little too large for the back. I also had motorcycle tires stacked on top. Attached are the before trip....
and mid trip...
That being said...
Thank you for the response. I will check the ODB codes again. I seem to get the error every now and then. Lately, the first time I start the Jeep if it is early in the AM (~50 F), and within the first mile. The dash errors all go away within 30 seconds.
The market is correcting itself.
We have had two years of a screwed up supply chain. Used cars at auction (where your trade in price comes from) were higher than MSRP on the non existent new model cars.
Accordingly, dealers were offering stupidly high prices to buy people's used cars, and then...
It just started raining again in the PNW, and I found water pooling in the left corner closest to the driver, driver side floor mat. These are the rubber MOPAR/Jeep floormats. I have the drain plugs set up to work, with 3M door sealant around them. The carpet under the floor mat was wet.
A few...
I was lucky! Zero cracks or windshield issues for 25,000 miles. So, I decided to drive the Jeep to Tuktoyaktuk, and really show that windshield who was the boss. I got one hit on the Alaska Highway, and a really nice big one on the Dempster Highway. I replaced the windshield with OEM glass when...
Thank you for the heads up! I have been watching the reports as well. It appears that half of the Yukon Territory is on fire right now. Closures northwest of Watson lake due to high water and fires as well.
I was informed that the "cool kids" call it the Alaska Highway, and not the Alcan...
I am taking a trip from Seattle to Tuk on 7/17. Originally planned to do it on a motorcycle. Due to an unplanned surgery, I am taking the Jeep (2018 JLU Sport S) up. Thanks for the tips in the thread. I have a 2.5" lift, will bring two mounted spares, 4 x 2gal Rotopax.. will probably need them...
We already have a data point for the "Luxury Dealership" experience with Stellantis. Maserati and Alfa Romeo are directly owned by Stellantis. The same majority owner of Stellantis is also a majority owner in Ferrari.
It doesn't bode well for this Wagoneer concept.
My friends who own these...
It would be more beneficial if they asked this up FRONT, more along the lines of "Hello AferVentus, we would like to be sure that the service experience you are ABOUT to receive will completely satisfy you. We will do our best to deliver that experience, please let us know if we are straying...
I DM'd some of the folks that had this repaired, and also took a look at the design when I was in the dash working with wiring anyway. The issue folks seemed to be having was air flow was obstructed and not blowing as hard as it should in the center.
Folks that had issues had some sort of...
You would think the dealer would want to get things right where the service department is concerned. According to NADA, it is the most profitable part of a dealership, with 49% of the profit the dealer makes overall coming from service...
That is a fear or experience that a lot of us seem to have or had. Better to put up with absolute crap warranty service than no service at all! It is a shame that @JeepCares won't step up and do the right thing for the customer. I don't know why, but Stellantis seems to be afraid of their own...
This is what a 1-10 scale looks like to me, or rather close to this. As a person in the industry pointed out, you need to look at the calibration the survey is looking for. On the Stellantis survey, they specifically call out a 10 as "Completely Satisfied". This equates to a 7 on my scale, or a...
I think more to the point, Jeeps current price points are overlapping luxury brands NOW.. You can purchase a Wrangler today at the same price point as a Mercedes E class sedan.
I would argue that the service experience from Lexus or Mercedes is an order of magnitude better than it is at Jeep...
I used a Fluke 189 Multimeter to check the battery voltages. I hooked up an i400 AC/DC current clamp to it to measure the power bleed off my stereo equipment. You can clamp it around a power cable. It isn't the most accurate way to measure, but it is good enough to determine if you have any...
Agreed, according to the Stellantis survey rating system, which I stated seems to be unique.
The only time I have seen "10 == Completely Satisfied" is on this dealership survey from Stellantis.
Typically, a customer survey has "10" reserved for exceptional service. From the answers I see from...
Having to push the dealer to honor something that they agreed to is not "10" behavior in my book.
Had they honored their deal as agreed, without you having to push them to do it, that would be a 10 on their scale.
Pushing them to do what they said they would do is not "Completely Satisfied"; in...
