So, I took my Jeep into the dealership for Jeep Wave oil change #2 (I know ). Jeep Wave #1 went well so what the heck. Well, I get home after doing things around town to check the level and such like I always do when I don't change the oil myself. I could barely get the hood open as...
I just got off the phone with my friends at Sirius XM. I'm sure we all play this game, where the promo rate ends and we call to cancel and get a better deal after noticing the upcharge on the credit card statement. So what are the best prices you've been able to get on which package before...
My transfer case never felt "right" in 4H as it would lock into 4H nicely and perform well but every once in a while it would indicate NEUTRAL after some wheeling but clearly be in 4H. I'd bump the shifter over and back to 4H and it would correctly say 4H.
A few weeks ago I was at Citrus and...
I know that I'm going to get a bit of drama for this post, but here I go. :) Yes I've searched the forums every night for the last 2 weeks.
I've lifted my Tundra for weeks before by the pumpkin and putting the rear axle on my old school Sears Craftsman 4 ton stands that go to 17 5/16"...
So, I wanted to start a non-political thread on Jeep politics. Topics where there are limited to no middle ground where both sides are firmly encamped. I'll start. I think it goes without saying "no politician politics", please.
Angry vs Happy Jeep
I'm totally in the camp of "Happy...
So yesterday I was in 4H moving very well. And the NEUTRAL light was on, I was clearly in 4H. I moved the stick to the right and back to the left and it said 4WD again, not NEUTRAL. Any thoughts on this?
Does anybody happen to know the part number for the electrical connector/harness on the vehicle side of the hardtop connection. I'm not looking for the conversion kit, just the mating electrical connector for the Jeep side of the connection.
Edit: I've looked through the mopar parts websites...
So, I'm planning a family camping trip with my JLUS and looking at options on getting my gear up to the mountains. I go camping a lot and setting up a family friendly campsite requires a significant amount of gear. I usually take my Tundra, but the family is really preferring to take our new...
Does anybody here have an inverter that they'd recommend? I go camping A TON and having a hard-wired inverter is always convenient if you need a little juice.
So, a dealership around here is now adding a "+5000 Customization Allowance" which boosts the Wrangler by 5K. A few weeks ago they had a "Market Adjustment", but I figure that is wildly unpopular with buyers. Seems like an interesting way to generate revenue without making the buyer feel...
I went to take the doors off of my Jeep this morning and I usually tuck the wiring harness into the door pocket. This time I forgot and accidentally put the door down on the electrical connector and broke it. Does anybody know if Jeep sells just the connector or if you have to buy the entire...
I'm curious if people still do used oil analysis these days. I've never had one done, and change my own oil typically on my vehicles. I figure that I'll use my Jeep Wave oil changes and just climb under before I take it in and grab enough for an analysis. I may just do it for the first two...
I've always used the engine to brake on manuals when driving relatively aggressively. I noticed in the owners manual it says that the maximum recommended downshift speed from 3 to 2 is 30 MPH. That seems super low, given that you are only going about 3K at 30MPH. I wouldn't think engine...
I'm not planning on doing anything crazy, but I have a 6MT JLU Sport w/ LSD and would like a bit more Tq and plan on getting 35's once the warranty expires. I think I'd like to run 4.10's (like the Rubicon), would a shop be able to put 4.10s into my existing differentials, or do I need to do...
So.... We bought a Jeep Wrangler this year after wanting one for 15 years. It seems that the consumer has very little leverage against MSRP on a base Wrangler. I mean you almost have to pull teeth to get 10% off MSRP. Is this how it has always been, or is it due to COVID.
So..... I've heard of the "Jeep Wave", and I'm new to Jeeping. My wife and I were driving home from the eye doctor today, and she said "why are all these people waving at us with two fingers". Living my whole life in Florida, I'm only used to getting waved at with one finger centrally...
After reading these forums, thanks to all those who recommended pushing fuses down in the power distribution box. Almost half of the fuses and relays seemed a little loose in my brand new Jeep. I checked, and in all my other vehicles they were tight. All new Jeep owners, make sure to push...
So... First wash of the new Jeep, and we were vacuuming it out. We were vacuuming under the front seats removing lovely kid sand from the beach (floor mats guys!), and I heard a rattling sound. So under the passenger seat, wedged in a carpet cutout I found this lovely bolt with thread lock...
