Is there any way to link our accounts between the two forums? I created this account here years ago but just recently bought a gladiator and was wondering if I have to make an entirely different account for that forum page? I understand when you create new accounts there is an option to create...
I may be mistaken but I believe that new graphic surfaced around 2013 with the 10th anniversary Rubicon, and was used on a few different Rubicon trim packages through the years like the Recon, and Hard Rock I think. But yea its a much better look in my opinion also, over the smaller standard...
Been a while since I have posted anything (over a year) and I spent time just watching and staying up to date on the forum here. Turns out that life happened and I was not able to take delivery on my original Firecracker JLUR order placed back in Nov of 2017. She arrived around late March 2018...
Now that my JL is here I was hoping to have my JK sold (trade was 3500 under what I owe, only owned it 7-8 months)....I cant eat that 3500 upside down on a new Jeep that is already this expensive. I am willing to eat $1k to $1500 but not a full on $3500 just so I can drive by next week and...
I am fairly certain they all come with tinted windows regardless of which top you choose except for the Sport. And its $495 to upgrade the sport to tinted.
Unknown if it actually comes with any factory lift or bigger springs to give it a slight bump in height. It is most likely just the high fenders and the added height of the 33s that give it the extra height.
Both Saharas I have seen did not have a fuel door and one was fully loaded. Rubicon only item there, but optional purchase from MOPAR (or give it time and even cheaper in the aftermarket I am sure). I will either be swapping mine out for a locking door, or just put on a locking cap im not sure...
Skyjacker was the first company to produce a 3.5"-4" kit apparently....cant say I am excited about that one but its out there...id rather do a home-made lift with wood blocks....im just saying.
slide it off the back of the Jeep slowly, put in on my back and slowly walk it to a set of saw horses... :muscle: :cwl:
since the JL top is 20% lighter it may not be that bad anymore
this post got upgraded to a sticky by @JAY so this will be updated with lift options and pricing as more options come available, and I will update it when I get time later tonight with whats already listed.
Jeeps have always come with A/C as an option since sometime around the CJ-5 era maybe (I don't remember exactly when). Same with manual locks and Windows since...ever...Willy I guess....back when they didn't have Windows lol.
It's not about this day and age for a jeep, it's about giving...
You said AEV but did you mean the EVO stage 2? Honestly man that lift isn't worth anywhere near $950. It's just a budget boost with two control arms. Wait for some more options to come out before you decide. If Rock Krawler markets something like their 2.5" JK kit it would be a much better...
A budget boost is typically just some brackets and spring bucket spacers. Your only options are 2 and 2.5 inch kits right now and i think a sport even with a 2" budget boost will actually be slightly taller than a stock rubicon. Especially once you add the extra height from 33s or 35s. You...
If you want look at low cost but little function go with a budget boost
If you want look and some function at average cost go with an entry level boost kit (not a budget kit...i.e. usually comes with lower arms and possibly shocks but not usually)
If you want look and full function a kit with...
what worries me honestly is all the paint chipping on these mules.....the grills are all sorts of messed up...not trying to hijack just an observation because there have been a few early photos showing black all over the grills like the top coat is flaking away....maybe it was from the camo...
none of them do, I think there was a thread on that somewhere but I dont remember, my guess is it was intentional since they have been touting larger windows all around....its not as noticeable on the premium tops due to tinting.
