I simply ask them not to be painted. It was not an option they advertise. They were happy to skip the final step

Why not just pull them off and get them sprayed with a bed liner paint that will also reduce rock chips?

This was why I ask for non painted steps and took them directly to have them sprayed with Bedliner! Costed me and extra $125 I think. It was worth every cent. No rust and no rock chips in two years. There product is still great just their painting process sucks!

As of now I am interested. We’re not far away and could most likely do the removal and install in one of our driveways! Or jus pull them out and meet up.

Well my dealer had my jeep a whole day and when I went to pick it up they told me it wasn't going to happen. I would have to take it elsewhere. Elsewhere? they are 3 miles down the road the next closest is 45 minutes away and I would either have to leave it (get a ride) or take a day off and wait!
