They are pretty much all the same except ARC cost more. I was going to buy the ARC however I dcided to try the cheaper ones on Ebay/Amazon (it hs been 5 years now) they are fine and i have 3 sets of doors Stock, Best Top two Piece Fabric, and Tube 1/2 doors. So at any given time I have...
They are the Bestop doors. There are no speed issues other than they are a bit noisy at speeds above 40. I run them all Summer mostly with the bottoms only and I keep the tops/windows in the bed just incase it rains. What ios nice isI can run neked all summer and having the soft top and doors...
Dude that is not DATA that is a guesstemate by an Jeep Exec, it is neither a survey or study data. That same articcle also suggest that Toyota is 20% and Ford 12-18%. So are Jeep owners the least likley to off road compared to other 4wd brands, I do not think so. In the JK days they estoimated...
1st off those Steps on mine are Sliders with REMOVABLE drop steps, takes 5 minites to remove them for full grounfd to frame off road clearance. The Mud Flaps are RokBlokz also removable in less then 5 minutes designed to quick release for off Road.
If you read all the Maximus 3 threads both...
Becasue the crossbar on the Roadmaster521450-5 (Blue Ox Knock off) is concealed on the Roadmaster does not negate the FACT that you now have less clearance and approach angle across the width of the front end. This is the main complaint of both the Radmaster and Blue Ox, that is a very...
Becasue that version of the Roadmaster was not the discussion. That version of the Roadmaster that accepts a winch is just a glorified Blue OX baseplate. The main reason folks are installing the Maximus and the individual frame mounted Roadmaster 521453-5 is to get away from the clearance...
That winch mounting would be the exception and not the rule as so most winch plates mount to the inside of the frame and horn, where as the thickness of the Roadmaster Baseplate plevents most winch plates from fitting between the frames, the Warn winchplate is a great example and requires an...
First off I am referring to the Tow loops without the frame tie in (even then lateral pulls you run the risk of bending the tow loop)... Second both frame horns on my wrangler are cracked from the pre-frame tie in towing, so personal experience also supports that . I also had the bent tow loops...
Note: the maximus 3 loops are not a good recovery point without the frame tie in. Without the frame tie in they only bolt to the very thin frame horn and easily break with any lateral forces.
Let me add to @Twojayhawks observations. The reason maximus added the tie rod is to reduce the lateral forces that were casuing the loops to bend and crack the frame horns. It should be noted that the Roadmaster base plate has also had an issue with cracking frame horns. Just becuase Roadmaster...
Understand that the Roadmaster you installed is several generations as Roadmaster has in recent years casued damage to the supporting frame structure of the Wranglers similar to M#. In addition the Roadmaster baseplate is seveeal parts welded together, whereas as more often thatn not base plate...
Your shock may be a little shorter then the Fox however look at the engle of your Swaybar. The Swaybar should be near level with only a very slight upway angle (so your Geometry is off). The angle of your Swaybarr is too steep which is why there is no shock contact. With the Swaybar in proper...
Dirt should not stain, but the dye used in many jeans especially newer jeans can stain. Same reason you do not was whites with jeens in your cloths washer. WHen Tesla came out with pure white seats people were going nuts when thier blue and black jeans permanently stained the seats in their new...
Just a heads up be careful not to wear Jeans with those light colored seats as the dye in jeans if you perspire can bleed onto the seats and will be difficult to get it out.
Do not tell me what I bought and installed the Teraflex kit is the 1.5 inch with the 1.5" installed on the front and rear. Becasue the 4xe sits about 1" higher then the JL rubicon when you add the 1.5" spacer it is like adding a 2.5" lift to t a JL. Since Jeep ised the standard 9" links on the...
That is correct but that only affects the drive shat not the axel. $h auto only means the drive shafts are not locked together spinning at the same speed and in 4H Part time. it does not change anything in terms of how the axel functions and poter traction to each wheel. Still only one power wheel
The bar for tires to qualify as a snow tire is a very low bar and there is a Huge gap between those tires that just qualify as a snow tire and those that are designed primarily as a snow tire. Understand in 4H part-time the drive shafts are locked to spin at the same RMP, the only thinh 4H auto...
Wranglers are not really the best vehicles for snow on roads (although much better for deeper fresh snow off road). I would recommend getting a good set of snow tires. If you have the optional Limited Slip Differential that certainly helps with traction control but with Solid axel Wranglers and...
You are corerct but they should be. I have an issue with this in that Maximus will still sell the tow loops and not require the tie in bracket which will damage more Wranglers.
