  1. Buzzing sound after shutdown

The sound you're hearing is a pump circulating coolant through the turbo and intercooler. This is done to help cool these components and prevent heat soak from causing damage. Note, I own a Alfa Romeo Giulia (turbo as well) and it makes the exact same noise when its turned off. Other owners...
  2. Diesel Resale Value

Typically a diesel vehicle holds its value better than its gasoline counterpart. However, only time will tell in this case since the reliability of the Gen3 engine hasn't been established yet. There have been a couple threads where folks have had some problems, and it's quite common for people...
  3. 2021 ecodiesel badge

Wow, great improvement from the sticker we were given on the 2020s! Thank you for sharing. I'll have to keep an eye on the online parts diagrams to see what the P/N is.
  4. 2021 Diesel gearing changed to 4.10?

I've heard two sides to the story. Some believe that since the EPA ratings on the 2021s are down slightly that this proves the 4.10 gears. Others believe it's just an error on the Jeep website. Since the Rubi comes with 4.10s the system may not have captured the gear change when moving to the...
  5. 3.0 MODS - Show em off

Come on, you can't post those without a video! :like:
  6. Question re: Willys suspension

There are a few exceptions to this rule through, I own a EcoDiesel and my springs are 3665AD (Front) and 3601AA (Rear). From what I can tell reading through older spring threads, the 3601AA is standard fitment for all diesels (Willys/Rubicon alike), but the front springs are different between...
  7. Modifying the 3.0 Engine and Exhaust to delete emissions

I'd be very interested in removing the emissions systems if the EPA would allow the sale of said products. Most of the issues I've read relating to the Ecodiesel engine (and other diesels) is around the emissions systems plugging up the engine. Let's hope the engineers figured out a way to...
  8. 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder Hurricane engine

Haha, isn't that the truth! I'm one of the people looking for the diesel as well; however, for me to pay upwards of 4-5k for the engine it will have to both tow more (or at least better) and offer some great advantages off road (I.e extremely low torque curve compared to the revised Pentastar).
  9. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Hits Dealer System - 1st Official Look @ Engines, Options, Packages, Features!

I'd really like to see the JL offered in the same color as the rendition at the top of the website.:like:
  10. JL headlights on

I'm hoping that's just publicity thing. Since the headlight shape is so iconic, perhaps FCA is driving it around to spur interest? I don't mind the growing LED DRL trend, but these just look like aftermarket Ebay halo's.... Just an opinion....
  11. JL in Downtown Chicago

Notice the flap in the camo on the rear. This would signify a back-up camera in my book. I was already assuming the new JL would have this, but it's nice to see some type of confirmation out in the wild.
  12. Tipster says 6 engines and several top options for 2018 Wrangler JL / JLU

Agreed - I'm ready for a diesel engine but it seems like FCA just won't supply what the consumers are looking for. Perhaps this delay is caused by the current investigation with the ECOdiesel engine? I won't purchase a JL until a solid powertrain aftermarket forms. If I'm going to have to have a...
