  1. 2021 Wrangler 4XE Launch Brochure reveals unique wheels and gauge cluster

I'm excited to see the order sheets & really hope those "unique wheels" are at least 8.5" wide so 35's or 37's could mount without a problem. Yah, I'll probably only get 10miles on electric with those tires, but that would enough for me to commute all week on a single charge.
  2. Lifting heavy spare tire by yourself back onto tailgate tire carrier

While looking for DV8 wheels, I saw this. https://dv8offroad.com/collections/jeep-jl-products/products/jeep-jl-rear-bumper-and-tire-carrier-rbjl-02 Pricey, but looks like it might help with the spare tire dead lift.
  3. Tried (and failed) negotiating on a Rubicon today...thoughts?

Unfortunately, this offer does not apply to Rubicons (Gladiator or Wrangler) and delivery must be taken by Nov 2. Still, not a bad savings for agreeing to additional spam.
  4. New Rubicon Getting Trail Cam option!

From the Jeep website, it appears to be located at the top of one of the grille slots.

Include it as part of your total price, and don't expect any discount on it. Everybody pays delivery charges.
  6. Replacing 2020 Rubicon Part Time w/ 4:1 ROCK-TRAC HD FULL TIME 4WD SYS

@SPiNZ , do you know if your axles are the 210 & 220 "wide" that the US spec Rubicon gets?
  7. Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid Revealed With 50 MPG-E, 375 Horsepower/470 LB-FT Torque!

Ohh, thanks for those. As I recall, the power required to push a car through the air is 0.5*Cd*A*V^2. Where A is the frontal area & V^2 is the velocity squared. So, assuming the JL & H2 are the same cross sectional area (4.3m^2) and the much shorter Model X is ~3.5m^2, we have: H2 1217 JL 959 X...
  8. Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid Revealed With 50 MPG-E, 375 Horsepower/470 LB-FT Torque!

Indeed...but the local police discourage such speeds in my town and on the local highways. I bet if I buy one, I'll try to stretch the range as much as possible.
  9. Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid Revealed With 50 MPG-E, 375 Horsepower/470 LB-FT Torque!

Max electric only speed is 80MPH according to the literature.
  10. Am I missing something

You can unselect the Alpine Premium Audio since it's included with the 8.4 UConnect. Similar situation for the Remote Start; it's included in the cold weather group. The Safety Group has a reduced price, 806 vs 896, since you have the LED lighting (AD6). The stitched seat covers look very...
  11. Jeep Wrangler 4xe PHEV Teased Again in New Videos, Confirms December 2020 Availability

One of the articles in this section mentions that the pHEV will be an available option on all models. That makes sense, since the electric motor is part of the 8spd tranny. It should fit all models with the I4. I'd like to know where the battery will be located. Will it be located along side...
  12. Seeking opinions on options for a new order

The order sheet includes $FWP which is the "Factory Wholesale Price". You can look both at the order sheet or the "interactive worksheet" which an excel file. It calculates MSRP & FWP based on the options you select. It also calculates price depending upon % below factory invoice. BTW, I think...
  13. Curious what you guys paid for your JLU Rubicons end of year...

Mar 7, Mar 15, Mar 17, Jun 4...but nothing more recent. Using the forum's search capability, search for "7%" by user Paulwithjeep.
  14. I want the first 4xe Rubicon.

I'm right there with you. I'm really looking forward to the pHEV. Not because of trouble finding a diesel, but because of the potential merits of electric drive. While I have some concerns about how well the initial integration of I4 + eTorque + hybrid powertrain, I suspect FCA will work out...

F is for "Factory". This forum refers to FWP & invoice interchangeably.
  19. Interactive Pricing Worksheet For 2021 JL & JLUR Wrangler

Not yet, but I can work on one using the updated, Aug order sheets. Expect to see the 4Dr versions first due personal, self-interest & higher demand overall. Creating them is easy but a bit tedious.
  20. Sahara Selec-trac, transfer case use: total noob question

Thanks for that description. I've been looking for any anecdotes where a selec-trac overheated while locked into one of the part time gears. All I've seen so far were two instances of overheating when possibly or definitely in 4Auto. I'm still trying to decide if I should order the standard...
