  1. Need a Sanity Check on Order Price

You're in MA. Contact Adam Silver at Central Jeep. I originally found him from the forums here in 2018. You can tell him "Austin with the totaled Rubicon" referred you from the forums. I'm about to order my second jeep from him, and a friend of mine ordered one from him too. You don't have...
  2. Is there a reason why you couldn't put hybrid or EV batteries inside the frame rails of a Wrangler?

Easy packaging? Putting batteries inside a frame that is made by casting and bending steel?
  3. anyone makes a lower temp thermostat ?

Ok, but it would also mean that you don't mind it potentially messing with you AFR's too. An engine doesn't run as efficiently at lower temps and the ECU typically richens the mixture at lower temps to compensate. I don't know enough about the jeep ECU to be certain.
  4. anyone makes a lower temp thermostat ?

Sure, just as well as he could change his left rear tire and report back on his engine temps. Even if they changed it doesn't mean the tire was the causative agent. A thermostat in a car is not like a thermostat in a house. It doesn't set the running temperature of the engine. It sets the...
  5. anyone makes a lower temp thermostat ?

I'm still trying to follow the logic here. The thermostat doesn't determine the operating temp of the car. It determines at one point during the warm up of the engine the cooling switches from closed loop (no radiator) to open loop (through the radiator). A lower temp thermostat would just...
  6. Sky One Touch roof on Rubicon

Yeah, just stays closed. No drag or stability issues even at highway speeds.

So still no word on when orders will open? And now 2021 delivery?
  8. Wrangler 4xe PHEV will be revealed September 3 @ 9AM ET [Livestream Video Inside]

Plug in hybrid. Gas engine but can also run on just electric for limited range. Edit: responded same time as post above, apologies.
  9. Prius Drivers hate Jeep Drivers!

Given the number of times you've likely encountered Prius's on the road, and that your generalization is off a sample size of 3, I think generalizations about drivers like this may be a bit of a leap. Though I do remember learning about one social psych study years back that found people's...
  10. Sky One-Touch Power Top w/ Roof Rack

Yeah because of the noise I just use the regular Mopar one and remove it when I'm done. I just don't open the top with it on.
  11. Sky One Touch Top versus Hard/Soft Top Option?

If someday years from now the whole thing becomes a nightmare after warranty I'll just replace it with a standard hard top.
  12. Sky One Touch Top versus Hard/Soft Top Option?

I love mine. Never leaked, even with snow piled on.
  13. 2019 order guide; what is stitched and perforated leather black?

I have the CBS Katzkin stitched leather on my Rubicon. It’s a Katzkin leather installed at the factory, not an aftermarket Katzkin cover that the dealer installs. Love the hex leather look and it definitely makes the interior look more high tech. That being said, even on the Rubicon it will...
  14. Central Jeep in Raynham MA

I ordered my Rubicon from them, and they were also able to get me lower than credit union rate financing. My Jeep took half a year from when I ordered to when Jeep delivered, which wasn’t there fault at all, and they were good about keeping me in the loop. No issues with them. Their finance...

  16. ROAM JL Side Armor Steps

This thread is redundant. Try to keep things in the main Roam rock rail thread: Nothing more really needed other than this thread...
  17. ROAM JL Side Armor Steps

The frame mounted MK3 rails sit about 1/2" away from the body. I can't imagine them flexing enough to be able to contact the body. They feel like an extension of the frame.
  18. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

Yesterday I got my MK3's installed in about 2 hours, with the help of the comments on page 50 of this thread and the install thread linked above. Kneepads and an electric impact wrench definitely made it easier. With a second person helping it could definitely be done in under 2 hours. The...

Meaning you scratched the coating on something, or meaning they no longer call you Ten Finger Tom?
