Saw this story, and it hit home.
Guy goes out on his own in the forest, never shows up.
I just saw today they found his truck, and later found his body.
I've been known to hop in the Jeep and go out into the desert and just wander. This is a reminder to all of us here that do the same.
With some good news from work, I now have some extra spending money and a green light from my wife for a few Jeep improvements. I'm looking for some advice.

For all of you desert dwellers... when do you finally give in and put the top back up to run the A/C ?
I've had it down for 4 months now, and I'm about ready to call it quits. The drive home at 100°F now is a tad too warm in the sun. Even with the AC blowing on me anyway.

Just about ready to bite the bullet on a Mean Bean trailer.
Little on the pricey side maybe. But I think we'll get good use out of it and we really like the build quality.
I see others here pulling 2000lb± trailers. So I'm not too worried about the 3.6l handling it. But does anyone have one...
Has anyone seen any issues or material wear on their standard soft top, when left on the Jeep, but folded up at the back?
I drive it every weekend with the top down, and have been just parking it in the garage during the week. Wondering if I need to be putting it back up to avoid some fold...
For me personally, I have not bought anything other than Jeep for 18 years. TJ, WK, and KL were my dailies for long time. I bought a Patriot that my oldest son drove. And 2 years ago, my wife bought one of the new Compass.
I just got rid of the KL and back into the JLUR... and now my mother...
