  1. Willy’s w/ Body-Color Fender Flares

I saw another thread related to this DRL flash issue. I also didn’t realize the Ruby flares are “wider” than sport oem, so I might just pass on the flare upgrade. I only plan to upgrade tires to 285/75/17 and was looking for a slight gain in wheel well clearance. I recently installed a rubicon...
  2. Willy’s w/ Body-Color Fender Flares

Thanks. I found the DRL flare kit w/led on quadT. If the existing DRL’s are halogen and upgrading to led, will the computer need to be flashed? I’m thinking the shop doing the install can flash it or does that need to be at a dealer?
  3. Willy’s w/ Body-Color Fender Flares

Hey Greg, I’m looking at upgrading my Willy’s sport flares to rubicon/Mopar high top w/led lights. Do I need liners, as well?
  4. New Tires: Open Country A/T III 285/75/17

Hey, I’m thinking about jumping up to 285/75/17. Could you please confirm how much wheel well clearance you got after the lift on the driver side front/rear? I’m thinking about 6” is about right.
  5. Fender flare trimming /chopping OEM Sport

Yup, Mopar LCA’s will also get installed with the spacers, possibly larger bump stops. The recent Rubicon suspension got me a decent lift and currently rolling on 285/70/17 rubber. There is about 6.25” rear well clearance and 5.75” in front. Once I jump to 285/75/17 I’m thinking .5” rear and...
  6. Fender flare trimming /chopping OEM Sport

I appreciate the feedback! I actually use a dedicated jeep mechanic to complete any advanced service. He also recommends American adventure labs and quake along with Rugged Ridge. Depending on his parts and labor estimate I might just opt to go in the leveling kit direction to achieve my desired...
  7. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Good to hear on the positive warranty customer service, but not so much on H2O intrusion. My jeep guy also recommended American Adventure Labs and Quake for the chop bracket set up. Depending on his estimate for parts and labor, I might opt for a small spacer/ leveling kit instead to achieve the...
  8. Fender flare trimming /chopping OEM Sport

Did you get the Rubicon take off suspension yet? Make sure you get higher spring numbers. More than likely you won’t need additional lift after the Ruby suspension is on with 285/75/17, but it’s more preference on wheel well clearance.
  9. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Any issues with the fender chop bracket kit and did you need to tazer or reflash it to work?
  10. Fender flare trimming /chopping OEM Sport

I’m considering getting the front two oem sport fender flares trimmed since a modest future tire upgrade from 285/70/17 to 285/75/17 is planned. The added wheel well clearance is the goal, strictly aesthetically is understood. Any suggestions if this chopping and brackets is the more economical...
  11. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Nice, any part numbers? Below is my current set up including a Ruby suspension on 285/70/17 rubber. I’m thinking small .75” coil spacers plus Mopar 2” LCA’s will be added after sizing up to 285/75/17. As it sits, there’s approximately.5” rake, so after the bike rack is on its level.
  12. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

What front fender flares do you got, they look like Ruby LED? Part# is also appreciated.
  13. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Tire poke is nice, but unfortunately it’s not allowed in PA.
  14. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Any update on the wheel well spacing? Also, what made you upgrade the MOAB oem wheels to the beadlocks, just appearance?
  15. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

Great points. This is why I'm leaning towards 285/75/17 (34"). I don't "wheel", so it's more for aesthetics. Load c is another feature I want on the next set of tires.
  16. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

The new wheels look great! Another concern I had with going past 34" on the Willys is gearing. Do you notice any power loss or struggling to get out of 8th, assuming you got the V6/auto trans?
  17. 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys- "Willow"

I’m late to the thread, but your 35” tires on the 7.5” oem wheel peaked my interest. I recently installed a rubicon suspension on a JLUW that yielded approximately 1” lift, front/rear. Currently running 285/70/17 rubber, but more than likely jumping to 285/75/17, adding Mopar LCA’s and .75” coil...
  18. Willys 285/75 17

Thanks. I might just use a Rough Country relocation bracket, only about $80. The install is straight forward. Did you re-calibrate the speedo after the 34" tires were on?
  19. New wheels and tires 285/75/17

Maverick I’m thinking about this tire size 285/75/17, as well. Could you please confirm how much wheel well space there is (driver’s front and rear)on your set up post lift? I’m thinking about 6-7” should be good.
  20. Best all terrain tires for on road handling?

I'm looking into Toyo OC a/t 3, load c on my next set. Size 285/75/17 is most likely it, as well.
