  1. JLU Rubicon MPG comparison across engines (2.0T, 3.6, 392, 4XE, 3.0D)

Anytime I see a post regarding mileage I wonder which way the wind is blowing. 2019 JLUR 3.6, 2.5” lift, 35” tires, steel bumpers, winch, etc., average about 18 mpg overall (highway/city mix). Better on the highway. Throw in a strong headwind and forget it.
  2. How do you cook out of your JL?

Coleman 2 burner gas stove for me.
  3. Who are some Jeep content creators I should watch?

Ronny Dahl 4 wheeling Australia. He’s not Jeep focused but is very informative for general four wheeling and over landing.
  4. fell into air vent

It’s like a black hole. Not even light can escape.
  5. Tire Pressure: Who's Right?

Well I’m glad I’m not alone on this. I use an ARB quick deflate to air down. Usually go to 13-15 psi. After some driving the TPMS usually reads 16-18 psi. Then I think damn, I should have deflated more. I know some of this is due heat generated while driving. I use an ARB digital gauge to air...
  6. Tire pressure for super rocky terrain

Late response to this but I was in Death Valley in February and put a stick through the sidewall of the KO2. Was able to put a plug in so didn’t have to use the spare. If you don’t already have a plug kit then I highly recommend one. Much easier then changing a 35” tire.
  7. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

Driving a Jeep with the top and doors off is awesome, until you hit about 60 mph. Then it’s just loud. Driving next to a semi truck on the highway is deafening. Throw in a strong crosswind and you better tie down your hat and hang on to your sunglasses.
  8. So, you’re thinking about buying your first Jeep?

First photo is Marble Canyon and second one is Johnson Canyon in Death Valley last February.
  9. So, you’re thinking about buying your first Jeep?

First time I drove a wrangler was on my 3 mile test drive from the dealer. Went back and bought it and couldn’t have been happier. Now has a 2.5” lift and 35’s, and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Also glad I went with the rubicon. It’s taken me places I may never have tried to go...
  10. Underseat Knife Holder? SOLVED…Will use pepper spray instead.

I keep pepper spray in the center console. It’s effective, easy (as long as you don’t spray yourself), and you won’t go to jail. If that doesn’t work then I have the M&P Shield as a last resort. Even if you shot/stabbed someone in self defense doesn’t mean a jury will agree. And then you go jail.
  11. For Those Who Have Experienced Massive Electical Failure.

Happened to me twice in a 6 month period. Both times the dealer said the auxiliary battery failed and blew out the fuse array. I’m now running the Genesis dual battery system and haven’t had any problems.
  12. 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Tips Over Again In IIHS Crash Test

I got hit on the freeway and forced into a concrete wall driver side first at about 50+ mph. Spun around once before coming to a stop. No rollover and walked away with no injuries. That's a good enough test for me.
  13. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Took the Jeep to work today.
  14. Confession time…

My high-lift jack mounts to the tire carrier and the handle sticks up about a foot higher than the top of the Jeep. I only carry it when I go 4 wheeling and take it off as soon as I get home. However, I forgot to remove it once before entering the garage. I heard an awful crunching sound and...
  15. Shiny Tires

Exactly. And eventually that dust will end up on your clothes, or worse your wife’s clothes. Especially when the shiny stuff is put on bumpers, spare tires and door sills.
  16. Captions please...

This vehicle is doing exactly what it was intended to do. Get attention. Somewhere in an alternate universe there’s a Jeep forum that’s raving about this thing. That alternate universe is called Florida. (Ok, my son lived in Florida for a few years and I actually enjoyed going there. Mostly...
  17. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

15 inches of new snow. Took Owens river road south of mammoth and eventually came out at Smoky Bear Flats north of mammoth. There’s a maze of road in the area to check out.
  18. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Explored some nearby trails after a morning of skiing at Mammoth Mountain.
