  1. Is fueling the Wrangler.. supposed to be really weird?

the intake tube in mine has a fair bit of play in it as well. I think it’s normal. I’ve also had trouble getting the pump to “seat” fully at times and that has lead to a lot of the same issue you had.
  2. Need help - lost passenger soft top side window in Utah

Glad to be of some assistance, even if it isn’t the optimal solution. I will say, the drive north from Kanab to I-70 is a looker! So if that’s the route you take at least you’ll get a cool ride in. And enjoy the San Rafael Swell as you head east on I-70 between Salina and Green River...
  3. Soft top or Hard top standard?

I got the premium soft top from a guy who decided he didn’t want his. He got the dual top group with his rubi, ended up putting a RTT on and decided he’d never use the soft top. It was never used when I bought it, got it for $1500 if I remember correctly. Might have been $1800. There are...
  4. Soft top or Hard top standard?

Soft tops are usually easy to find on a local classified section. I got mine off a guy who ordered dual top group and then decided not to use the soft top. I got it for a lot less than it was from factory, and never used.
  5. Is this really what the Bestop Supertop squarback looks like without rear windows?

Yeah, don’t think it’s meant to run like that. Pretty sure it’s meant to be Sun-rider closed when the windows are out (safari mode), or pulled fully back.
  6. Soft top or Hard top standard?

In 2022, when we have AC essentially standard, and freedom panels on all hard tops, hard top should be the standard. It’s better in more climates than soft top. I have both, in Utah the soft top goes on in the spring, and the hard top goes back on in the late fall.
  7. Need help - lost passenger soft top side window in Utah

I can find you a new soft top pretty near St. George, just one window? That’s gonna be tough. if interested in the soft top (I’m not the seller, but Kanab is close to St George). Jeep JLU premium soft top for sale. Other than that, maybe see if Quadratec or someone else can sort you out and...
  8. Bottomed out my 22 JLURXR today - It was some crazy XTREME offorading

There’s not much gap under the bump stop, it’s true. And I’ve bottomed mine out on the street 1 or 2 times (usually in a pothole at 30-35mph) but it wheels just great so far and I’m not feeling the bumpstop’s making contact while out on the trail. I wheeled circles around the stock rubicons...
  9. Moab’s best trails threatened…

Oops, sorry. I’ve got people saying I didn’t include enough info, now you saying I included too much. In reality, I just copied and pasted the RR4W email here for all to read. So I’m sorry if it wore you out reading the OP. The question is, did you comment?
  10. Moab’s best trails threatened…

The problem is that with groups like SUWA on board, one closure is never enough. They’ll be back for more soon enough.

No such permit required in Utah

    Same suspension is my understanding
  13. What did you name your Jeep JL?

That’s rad! Saw them live last Sept in Salt Lake City with the Dropkick Murphy’s. All told I’ve seen Rancid live 10-15x and have also been a fan since the late 90’s. In 2 weeks we’ll be in Irvine, CA checking out one of Tim Armstrong’s latest project bands, the Interrupters. More on the...

I don’t think we’ve discussed politics at all really.

I also have science credentials, but I don’t need to wave them about to try to convince others they should take my word at face value. I’ll simply hold you to the basic “support your claim with evidence” doctrine that is the cornerstone of good science. In a debate, it falls upon the person...
  18. Moab’s best trails threatened…

OK you’ve made that point, and I wouldn’t argue with you. Now show us your proof that tire tread wear from Jeeps in Moab is causing the damage you claim it is.
  19. Moab’s best trails threatened…

I didn’t ask for credentials. I politely asked you to share some peer reviewed data. An appeal to authority fallacy won’t cut it on its own.
  20. Moab’s best trails threatened…

It seems like now you’re on about erosion. I’d point out that the wear and tear of wind, rain, ice, and time is consistently causing more sandstone erosion than any Jeep’s ever caused. The entire landscape in Moab is created by natural erosion. The trails are different every spring after...
