  1. Death on the trail

Things can go sideways very quickly on the trail. This video illustrates that very well. Never get complacent.
  2. Farout Jeep Wrangler announced as Rubicon Diesel final edition -- sad day today for the diesel crowd

A shame to see it go so quickly. I hope owners enjoy theirs for decades to come. Appropriate that they send it out in Smoke Gray. (I kid!)
  3. Death on the trail

Hate to hear stories like these. Learning to recover a vehicle is a perishable skill. There’s no way most of us get enough practice, but you can still refresh your knowledge regularly. Even the well-done YouTube stuff can put important information between your ears. Sometimes the most...
  4. Things Ford Got Right with the Bronco Vs the Wrangler

The Bronco has a non-self-destructing manual transmission. That’s a big plus in my book.
  5. Help! Snapped my axle on my 2022 JLUR Xtreme Recon and I need advice!

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. True for racing and true for Jeeping.
  6. Multiple Fatality Rollover in Gladiator - Near Ouray

Inside Edition is exactly right. The roads around Ouray are death traps. Everyone should stay away from them!! It would be better if they were completely deserted! Now please excuse me while I take a little trip to southwestern Colorado for some wheeling.
  7. Is fueling the Wrangler.. supposed to be really weird?

Mine fuels just like any other vehicle I’ve driven. What you’re describing does not sound normal.
  8. First pic of a production Earl color Wrangler?!

To quote myself from an earlier thread, this is exactly right...
  9. Do You Mind Getting Trail Scratches?

No, it can only be applied to smooth painted surfaces.
  10. Do You Mind Getting Trail Scratches?

It holds up extremely well. The moderns self-healing stuff is tremendous. And it comes with a 10 year warranty on materials AND labor. The only question on PPF is whether you want to spend $5-7k on it. If you can afford it, it’s absolutely worth it.
  11. No more XR package?

The Willys XR absolutely gets the upgraded axlesX rear brakes, knuckles, etc. But, as you note, it doesn’t get lockers because those are part of the Rubicon trim, and not the XR package. Willys XR is a helluva value.
  12. End of the EcoDiesel V6 for the Ram. What about the Wrangler EcoDiesel?

Sorry to see the diesel go, but dang some of y’all diesel guys are intense. Y’all complain that people who don’t like the diesel are haters, then crow about how the Pentastar sucks balls. Maybe we just like different things?
  13. Restitution/Diminished Value Report

Let your insurance company handle it. They know all the moves.
  14. Fed up with FCA! 2023

    Bye. Enjoy your 2025 Bronco.
  15. Moab’s best trails threatened…

Submit your comments, folks. Instructions are in the original post. Just commenting on this thread does nothing to save the trail you love (or will someday love). TAKE ACTION.
  16. M.O.R.E. Oil Pan Skid Plate: how do I drain the oil with this thing on?

Stupid design. They should provide a removable access panel… like 8x8”… that you can remove to allow the oil to drain. Their failure to adapt their design to the new oil pan is so lazy.
  17. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep Recon EV Revealed! (Off-Road Capable BEV) *** ⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS ***

I like the Recon well enough. And I’m not opposed to going full electric. But I’m waiting for solid-state batteries and a 500 mile range. That’s still a ways out, near as I can tell. JL is totally badass in the meantime.
