There are a lot of great posts in here about the vehicle's capabilities, versatility, value and just how it makes one feel. However, if another vehicle did all of that but didn't LOOK good, I wouldn't want to own it so for me it's mostly about the looks.
Zeigler also has a Ford store that sells the actual Ford one for a great price but the wording "factory backed" has me a little concerned. Is it a 3rd party providing it? "Factory backed" is somewhat comforting but I'm still not sure if that means it's FCA (Stellantis, whateveritisthisweek...
I saw a couple of people talking about insurance companies and other words to the effect of a 3rd party providing the warranty. Is there an extended warranty that is provided by Jeep itself and NOT a 3rd party? There's no way I'd buy a 3rd party one.
The issue is you are an out of state buyer. In a buyer's market, dealers welcome out of state buyers and sometimes give them deals better than their own local market gets because they otherwise have no access to you. An out of state buyer is a freebie customer they didn't even have to do much...
Good job. As much as you want one, you were able to take that stand. Good for you, I wish you luck. People who pay over MSRP hurt all of the normal buyers.
The reason every "help me choose which engine" thread never produces a solid winner ... it's because there aren't any. I too am hoping for a win with the Hurricane.
As for carbon buildup, high octane is not the solution. People mistakenly believe higher octane has more power and/or is...
It probably will. That's what happened with the Chevy Bolt EUV. It was a new model, different enough one would think from the plain Bolt, yet the gov't considered it the same model and wouldn't give a new credit to it. They recently lowered it by a full $4000. It could be the "stop sale"...
This thing about the 4XE and how much more it costs has been the subject of it's own thread or two. It all depends how you look at it. The issue is the 4XE comes on the higher trim levels and forces you to take options you don't have to take on the lower trim levels so in that case, it could...
Man ... they tried a TRIPLE DIP on the dealer prep? The factory pays the dealer for that. The dealers (most of them anyway) charge the customer anyway and then a special "detailing fee" on a new car? I'm glad you at least got one of them off but you still ended up paying twice and the work...
There's no doubt the heritage and legacy belongs to the 2 door models but Jeep did a fantastic job (and looks wise they keep getting better and better) with the 4 door. I believe they got a little TOO excited thinking they couldn't be stopped when they came out with the Gladiator but even that...
LOL, not sure why you would say that! This thread has been quite calm and friendly. I've seen much larger conflicts and angst in the 3.6 vs 2.0 threads or the Rubicon vs Sahara threads or the 2dr vs 4dr threads ...
That's a great argument and I agree 100% but their comeback (and a comeback some of the trolls and plants here will say) is that you are already getting an elevated price on your trade so you should be happy paying MSRP plus a BS markup. Nope. People haven't been paying MSRP for decades and...
How about this:
NONE of the engine choices are great.
2.0 - Poor sound - "should" use premium gas - power - ESS - issues
3.6 - not great at anything - no longer "tried and true" with what they've done to it
3.0 - I love diesels but it's a Fiat engine - expensive - issues - future issues -...
That's not how statistics work. You don't compare the 50% of the 158 participants directly with all of the NON participants (on or off the forum). You take the PERCENTAGE, which in this case appears to be GREATER than 50% of the respondents that do HAVE the issue, and you apply that percenage...
Yup, and that is significant.
I knew about the hinges - I believe the culprit is the differing metals without proper prep for that? What I didn't know is about these other areas where the paint is just bubbling up. Holy crap, I thought manufactuers solved that problem decades ago.
