  1. BUGS!! Cleaning dead bug guts off your vehicle?

I've used a number of bug removing products but the best I've found for both my jeep and my harley is luke warm water on a micro fiber cloth. Simple but effective. Cheap too.
  2. How can you tell a Jeep owner has children?

Even though the Jeep in the picture is a Gladiator, I think it could relate to Wranglers too. I noticed this on the way home from the hardware store in the morning and it reminded me of the time my granddaughter wrote her name in the side of my Wrangler after driving down a dusty road last...
  3. Research study: Jeep Wrangler vs Ford Bronco sales, buyers, etc

I took a motorcycle trip from Minnesota to Dallas, Texas last month. No freeway on the way down and mostly freeway on the way back. I could count the Broncos I saw on my fingers and have fingers left over. Was surprised how few I came across. Now and then I would come upon a Wrangler that...
  4. Terrible 2.0 gas mileage?

With premium fuel in the 2.0? The difference in cost between regular and premium around here is .30 to .40 cents per gallon. Kind of waters down the advantage of the 2.0.
  5. Terrible 2.0 gas mileage?

I'm happy that I didn't give in to the hype of better mileage with the 2.0 turbo compared to the 3.6. Granted I'm in a stock 3.6 eTorque with no lift but with the price of fuel what it is, I'm not planning on changing anything in the near future.
  6. Getting more power out of the 3.6 (even a little)!

I'm constantly looking for a Jeep Wrangler 2.0 turbo to go up against my 3.6 eTorque but haven't come across one yet. Guess I didn't realize they snorted flame so I'll begin looking for fire shooting out of the Rubicon hood vents to single out a 2.0 Wrangler. Or I could look for the Wrangler...
  7. Isnt the duck thing only for Jeeps?

Maybe it's not a duck at all? 🦆 Maybe it's a peep left over from Easter? 🐤
  8. Sarge vs High Velocity

Sarge Green - 👎 High Velocity - 👎 Sadly, if something were to happen to my current Wrangler, I don't think they have a color that would be a must have if I ordered another. Maybe Gobi?? And I wish the Jeep website had pictures of actual Wranglers in different colors instead of an artist...
  9. Someone talk me out of going with the Sky One-Touch roof..

There is NO WAY I would go with the Sky One Touch unless you're able to handle getting a potential blister on your finger by opening and closing it and opening and closing it and opening and closing it ................. But that is what I LOVE about the SOT. Open it when I want but close it...
  10. What did you screw up or tear up on your Jeep today?

I about freaked out when driving home from work today and it started hailing. There was a lot of nasty weather in the area with major sized hail but luckily the hail that hit my Jeep didn't get any bigger than pea sized. I wonder how large the hail needs to be before the Sky One Touch Top is...
  11. I thought the stock Wrangler windshield was supposed to be about as fragile as an egg!

I'm not sure if there is a difference in the quality of the stock windshield or if I'm just one of the lucky ones to not have a windshield crack after more than a year and 19,000 miles. Yes, there are a few very minor nicks in it but no major damage or cracks. Today a crow took a direct hit on...
  12. Should you still buy?

Sounds like one of these would be a better fit than a Wrangler.
  13. Are the Gladiator guys supposed to wave? (cause they don't at me)

I wave at JTs but most of the time it's because I think I'm waving at a Wrangler before I discover I'm not. I know it's way cheaper to use parts already designed and made but really FCA? To me the Gladiator should be more unique than being 3/4 Wrangler and 1/4 pickup truck. At the very least...
  14. Catalytic converter stolen?

Another issue with wheel locks is; where is the socket for them usually kept? In the glove box. Break into the jeep, grab the socket out of the glove box, take off the wheels and disappear. 🤔 Think I'll hide my socket better but even so, my jeeps window will probably be busted as the thief...
  15. Just got rear ended

Sorry to read this but if you had used your 392 to its full potential there is no way anything would have caught up to you and cause damage to your rear end. :giggle:
  16. 2.0L 4cyl engine reliability issues?

Agree 99%. My brother in law has a 4Runner and I almost fall asleep when driving it because it's so boring. The only thing that keeps me awake is I always feel like the mushy brakes aren't going to stop that Toyota. I can't think of an engine in a Wrangler that would make me choose a 4Runner...
  17. 2.0L 4cyl engine reliability issues?

That would be about the mileage of a garage queen after 10 months of ownership. :giggle: That's like 20 miles a day. Unless it only gets driven on Sundays which would be more than garage queen mileage. But barely as that would be only 150 miles per Sunday. :like: Just joking with you by...
  18. 8 speed auto in 22' JL was impressive

I'd think a bad left knee would be detrimental to shifting a manual transmission, at least if you have a lot of stop and go traffic. I enjoyed a manual unless I had to continually push in the clutch. I ordered my 1992 Dodge Dakota with a manual because an automatic just wouldn't do it for me...
  19. $20K markup!!!?

It has a lift, larger tires, different wheels, WARN winch, different front bumper and looks like a rock rail. Pretty basic Sahara though with no leather. Only options are automatic, cold weather group, tow package, limited slip, body color hard top and gorilla glass. Bet they sell it quickly...
  20. To Gobi or not to Gobi...

No, but they do in the Air Force!!
