I used to have a '18 GTI in white silver. Earl isn't even close. Earl doesn't have any metallics or pearls and it has a definite blue tone. Silver Zenith is much closer to VW white silver.

For those that are curious, I tried to compare HV to Grabber Yellow and Accelerate Yellow. It matches both very well and does have a slight green tint in the shade.
