Check out trailsoffroad.com as you get closer to your travel date. Cascade creek is in idaho springs and isn't super difficult but a fun trail somewhat near Denver. Pickle gulch is also pretty close to Denver and should be clear by then.

I would 100% go with quake. The AAL are so dim you can't even tell they are on during the day. Once I have the chance, I will sell mine and order some Quake. Quake are also local in the Denver area which I appreciate.
