  2. Are us middle class Jeepers going to be (fuel) forcefully priced out of enjoying our Jeeps? [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

These aren’t hard to find if you look. https://electrek.co/2022/05/16/largest-eu-battery-recycling-plant-comes-online-enough-for-all-of-norways-batteries/
  3. Are us middle class Jeepers going to be (fuel) forcefully priced out of enjoying our Jeeps? [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

You are probably right in your assessment. I’m sure the depreciation curve will start out slow, but it’ll get steep exponentially when it does. Just like the adoption curve.
  4. Are us middle class Jeepers going to be (fuel) forcefully priced out of enjoying our Jeeps? [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

Travel cost is roughly half in an EV when compared to similar gas vehicles. And the charge network is really starting to get much better. Yes charge time is definitely more than fueling up, but we are retired and plan accordingly. If gas continues to rise adoption of EVs for road trips will be...
  5. Are us middle class Jeepers going to be (fuel) forcefully priced out of enjoying our Jeeps? [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

I believe the answer to your question is yes. Most of the pressure to switch to EVs comes from the rest of the world. Most other western countries are at a higher adoption rate than we are here. The farther we fall behind, the more painful it’s going to be to catch up. Even Saudi Arabia is...
  6. Your favorite mods

    Sunrider for sure.
  7. Confession time…

I’ve done the same with the sunrider……….where’s that wind noise coming………..wham!🤦‍♂️
  8. Gearing regrets for 37” to 38” tires?

Yes. He said he wanted it all day, but was done in about 4 hours.
  9. Gearing regrets for 37” to 38” tires?

He’s probably going to kill me for this…..he’s very busy, but if you’re near roseburg or don’t mind traveling Lenny at Kilter Performance is really good. He does everything including full custom and V8 swaps. The blue one he just did for a friend of mine, and the gray on is Lennys. He did my...
  10. Gearing regrets for 37” to 38” tires?

I’ll throw my 2cents in. I have a JLUR with the 3.6 auto with 37s. I’m running 5.13s and they work good for me, but I tow with mine. If you don’t tow and run a lot of hwy speeds I’d say 4.88 would be my choice.
  11. Aluminum vs Steel Skid Plates

I’ve been running the Artec aluminum belly skid and love it. It’s been across the rubicon twice and is just scratched up a little.
  12. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

1.06 billion cars X 4.2 tons CO2. Ya your right why bother! 🤦‍♂️
  13. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

Honestly I’m not here to argue with anybody or troll. I am definitely biased and I freely admit that in the original post. Since I’ve started looking into EVs and educating myself, some of these things I was not aware of I thought might be interesting to others as well and we could have a...
  14. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

Have you priced used teslas lately? All of the fiat 500s are garbage when they exit the factory EV or not.
  15. Died on the Interstate

While at Lithia in Medford keep one hand on your wallet at all times! Sorry to inform, but they don’t have a very good reputation here.
  16. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

My thoughts exactly. Why wait, invest all that oil money into future which is fairly clear.
  17. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

Haha this guy is saying it’s right now, and he does make some interesting comparisons to other products and timelines. Product disruptions are a real thing and once the momentum gets going it’s hard to stop. I bet Nokia and Motorola didn’t think that the smartphone thing would take off. I lean...
  18. General thoughts on ICE depreciation?

Some of the comments here are pretty good. I love the ones about infrastructure and grid……I’ve been to lots of towns without a gas station and most all of them had electricity. Don't forget the gas is underground in tanks usually. No electricity and the station can’t pump gas kinda a catch 22.
