  1. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

I have 5.13’s/ 37’s and still need to use 4th gear on certain hills. Not every time though, even on the same hill. The wind absolutely has an effect lol. 6th gets me up small inclines but nothing more. Sometimes I even cruise in 5th because I tend to stay around 70. I consider my Jeep “light”...
  2. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

I really don’t think the stop start service light has anything to do with the clutch. Were you having Physcial issue’s with clutch engagement/ slippage? My stop start light came on due to a re gear and stayed on for over a year haha. Then my battery died and I finally did a reset. No more stop...
  3. Considering buying my 16 year old a brand new Wrangler High Altitude

Whatever you do, get him a Jeep with the man pedal Edit: IMO the high altitude is even more a waste of money than Sahara. For off roading purposes and re sale, I say go Rubicon whenever possible (assuming you are spending high altitude kind of money). Lockers, 4-1 T case. Even if you don’t...
  4. Rubicon or willys ????

No serious rock crawling you’ll be totally fine with a Willy’s with 35” tires or less. You’ll still be able to handle fairly moderate trails. You could easily run the entire rubicon in a sport on 35” tires with maybe one or two pulls from a tow strap. Who knows, maybe not even one depending on...
  5. I was just offered $51,500 by a dealer...

Just make sure you really want to get rid of it before you do it. I have definitely had regrets from selling a vehicle.
  6. A 392 was rescued from the trail!

Did he hydrolock it or something?
  7. Oversized Spare Tire Carrier Needed for 35's?

Unfortunately that bumper was in the dumpster a long time ago. I currently run no bumper and only have Rusty's rear corner fascia armor. Which actually took a good hit to a rock and held up. I only did the side pieces as well and did not put the middle piece on. I will look for old pictures. I...
  8. Chirping sound update. Transmission?!?

Long shot here but I remember one time with my JK, one of the rear brakes had the little retaining clips that hold the brake pad in fall out or was partially missing. Something like that. I replaced the clips and the noise went away. I can't even remember what exactly the noise was but I am...
  9. 37 on stock hinge?

I ran a 37 with the stock hinge for a long time and on a lot of rough trails. I would extend the tire isolator bump stop to prevent excessive rattle/ movement.
  10. How Many Miles on Your Manual Transmission/Clutch?

About 35.5k on mine. Still makes the creaking noise once warmed up but that seems to have not gotten any worse. That started at probably around 12k miles or less. 5.13 gears and 35’s or 37’s since 1k
  11. Rolling coal

Should not get off scott free. He’s going to go through life thinking he can get away with anything. I think he should be used as an example. And as a cyclist, I wouldn’t feel sorry for him at all. Indict him
  12. When did your battery die?

Mine lasted about 41 months 34k miles. I could feel and hear the weak starting over a few weeks and then one day it just did the typical dead battery click. So I replaced both batteries
  13. 2022 Jeep JL Willys Extreme Recon Announced for $40,930; Orders Open in October

No rear locker? Seriously? Even the JK Willy's had that option.
  14. NorCal Marketplace

Oh really? I could definitely take them off your hands! My wife's parents live out there. Whenever you have a free day let me know and I'll grab them. I have a pretty open schedule these days.
  15. California WTB Sport fenders- FOUND

    Ahhh dang! Lol.
  16. 2022 392 Stripper?

I'd consider it. If it didn't have the 2.72 t case and cv axles. Give me 2wd and the Rubicon transfer case. Let me decide the fate of my drivetrain! Lol.
  17. Reid Racing Steering knuckles

I re used mine both when I installed my front axle, later dynatrac ball joints and finally the reid knuckles.
