  1. Clicking noise when turning.

Just wanted to add that my 2021 JLUW developed a clicking noise from the front passenger ball joint. Removing the cotter pin, torquing castle nut to the next slot and installing new cotter pin solved the problem. Driver side occasionally clicked, but passenger was worst. In fact, it clicked a...
  2. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

Just received an OTA update for my 8.4 UConnect. Unfortunately, the vehicle user guide app is still persona nongrata. Just wondering if anyone who's had theirs disappear was able to successfully get it back?
  3. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

Well, from what the UConnect support folks told me some time ago was that Chrysler was working on an update which would include the manual. Of course, everything they tell me I take with a grain of salt because I don't think most of them know what's going on either.
  4. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

Hold the power and selection knob buttons down for 20 seconds then release. The soft reset doesn't bring the manual back though. I still haven't seen mine come back and it's been months.
  5. 2020 Rubicon 4 Dr 2" Mopar Lift with lean

I thought I was going crazy for the past week. Every time I walked past my JLUW in the garage, I noticed the rear passenger side seemed to sit lower than the front passenger side. I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me so I grabbed a tape measure and measured from floor to bottom of wheel...
  6. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

I remember the salesman pointing it out on UConnect when we took delivery. There seems to have been an update though so I don't know if that took it out for the 2021 models?
  7. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

Yes, tried a reset and a reboot. No dice. Guess I'll have to call UConnect support on Monday.
  8. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

Thanks. Is yours a 2021? Would you mind taking a picture of the icon so I can see where it would be located? Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it and I swear I saw it once before when we took delivery.
  9. 2021 Forward Collision Warning System not working

My 21 JLUW has FCW as well. I completely forgot it was an installed option until a few days ago. Car in front of us slammed on his brakes to avoid a squirrel of all things and at that moment I got a loud beep followed by automatic braking. The cluster also said something about collision warning...
  10. Vehicle owner's manual in Uconnect Apps tab missing?

My 2018 Grand Cherokee had the vehicle owner's manual available within the Apps tab of the 8.4 Uconnect screen. It seems to be missing from my 2021 JLUW 8.4? Can anyone confirm the same?
  11. Battery tenders and 3.6 eTorque?

Noticed something strange today. Took the Jeep off the tender, started the engine, and watched the cluster voltage readout start at 13.1 and climb to 14.2v. I then drove around the block to do a chalk test on my tires. After returning, I went to check the 12V battery with a meter. It read...
  12. Yellowing Paint 2021 wrangler unlimited

I should clarify. Technically, you can do everything I just said you couldn't. However, if you do, the seals (especially by the windshield) will get damaged and the roof will no longer be watertight. Don't get me wrong, it's a great roof. My wife and kids love it. But there are days when I'd...
  13. Yellowing Paint 2021 wrangler unlimited

Yes, we have the sky one touch in our black JLUW. We haven't had it long enough to really experience it but so far, so good. Only downside that I didn't know before getting this Jeep was with that roof, you're unable to fold the windshield down. You can't take it off either and replace with a...
  14. Yellowing Paint 2021 wrangler unlimited

Wow, I'm surprised to see this happening on 2021 models. I've seen reports of yellowing paint on older JLs. My wife and I wanted a bright white JLUW and we drove two hours to get one. When we test drove it at the dealership, there was so much water trapped inside the Sky One-Touch power roof...
  15. Help please...possible damage to steering from dealer running it without ANY steering fluid after TSB work

If a hydraulic pump is run dry, bearings usually get scorched from the heat. Bearing seals can also crack, causing leaks once the system is refilled. I've had something similar happen to my W220 S65 AMG that used a hydraulic pump for steering and suspension. 30 miles may not have damaged it...
  16. Feedback on 3.6L V6 etorque?

My 21 JLUW has the 3.6 eTorque engine. I like it. After having owned a 2018 JGC with a 3.6 ESS, I wanted the 2.0T. However, after discovering the 2.0T uses direct injection exclusively, I opted for the port injected 3.6 eTorque. Honestly, it drives just like my 2018 JGC. The little electric...
  17. Battery tenders and 3.6 eTorque?

Lithium ion batteries do have a pretty long shelf life as long as they're kept at roughly 50% charge capacity in a temperature stable environment. It's usually the charge and discharge cycles as well as running the battery below a certain voltage threshold that kills them prematurely. I'm...
  18. Battery tenders and 3.6 eTorque?

For what it's worth, my charger is in float mode so it definitely topped up the 12v battery. Nothing appears out of the ordinary and the car starts and drives just fine. What is interesting is the battery gauge in the cluster; right after coming off the tender, it shows 14.3v. I always...
  19. About to order with 3.6l etorque - anyone have one yet?

I really like my 2021 JLUW 3.6 eTorque. The start stop system is incredibly smooth that I leave it on all the time. I had the regular 3.6 ESS engine in my 2018 Grand Cherokee and the ESS was turned off most of the time. Before I got my JLU, I was torn about the 2.0 and initially wanted it. But...
  20. Battery tenders and 3.6 eTorque?

Perusing the owner's manual, it mentions nothing about trickle charging the battery; just how to jump start. I'm assuming (it better be since my tender has been connected since yesterday) it's fine to connect the charge leads directly to the 12v wet cell under the hood? I'm asking because I'm...
