  1. Gorilla Glass is now $495

At $95 this seemed like a no-brainer if there was an even marginal improvement.. at $495 there is no way I would have ordered it. Especially when it seems pretty hit or miss in terms of anybody getting the dealer to replace it under the "warranty" when it cracks.
  2. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

You are literally arguing with the Chapman dealer account...
  3. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

Tom, thanks for the transparency. I'm all for everyone getting treated fairly, even dealers. :) You guys have been great to work with so far and I'm looking forward to picking up my (August ordered!) 392 in a month or so. Word of mouth and reputation is everything in this game, I've referred...
  4. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

I am in a similar boat. I’ve ordered two Fca vehicles before and both were price protected to my order date - not in a million years would I think this one wouldn't be. I ordered in August. I’ll be reaching out to Chapman as well tomorrow. I was fine with their stance on affiliate rewards etc...
  5. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

Similar here, my original order was 8/26, rolled to 2021 on Halloween and got built yesterday. Now the frustrating countdown begins. LOL.
  6. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

I assume that it is simply their sales region - companies tend to manage sales and promotion by geo/region. My orders from Koons in the past had "DC" tags on them.
  7. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

If it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. Just watching the cryptostickers ticker every day will show you the rough timeline of order to build... focusing on the chapman orders only gives you FEWER data points. The question I have is, what do current times from build completion to delivery to...
  8. Tracking our Chapman Horsham Jeep orders?

I don't think anyone has had clear evidence that "your dealer" matters in build scheduling. The scheduling process seems to be pretty chaotic and random, and obviously has an awful lot to do with parts availability these days. I will admit, it is possible that somewhere in the algorithm there...
  9. New orders - 5% under invoice with @dealersider

That isn’t remotely what they said. They’ve been very good about honoring all of their existing commitments - what they said is that they aren’t going to retroactively apply a new discount to your deal, which is completely fair.
  10. Mopar dash trim - black leather with Carmel color stitching

If you're somewhat mechanically inclined (let's say you've installed a car stereo before) this is a 2-3 hour job at most. Someone who has done it 5 times could probably swap in 20 mins. The panels you are removing are mostly cosmetic, except that the airbag is mounted into the passenger side...
  11. Looking for a decent dealer service department in Florida

Arrigo sawgrass used to be okay, but heard they have gone downhill since they were aquired a year or two back. They do have a huge service dept. Joey Accardi in pompano is pretty bad. They'll get it fixed, eventually, but that's about all I can say. As above, their sales dept is worse than...
  12. Thor Has Landed! (392 XR in white)

Pompton checking in - I've only seen one 392 in S Florida so far - hoping my blue 392 gets built in January! Agreed with comments above - the stripe looks good on white!
  13. Replacing the Red Interior Trim

There is no part difference for any of the JLs - this should work fine for 18-21. These, as well as the caramel stitching ones (color match for the 392) have been on backorder for months. Overall this is a pretty easy swap, doing it the first time I'd expect 1-2 hours, the hardest part is...
  14. Florida Sold: Dashboard panels - black leather with red stitching (RUBICON leather match!)

I have the left and right black leather dashboard panels with red stitching. This is what you need to make your rubicon dashboard match your leather seats w/red stitching. Used for 8 months then removed, excellent condition. (you might need to transfer a couple of clips from your old dash to...
  15. Tomorrow is DEC 6

The truth is, the dealers don't actually know much. They don't have a secret in with the factory. They aren't chatting with the guys on the production line. They really don't have much more info than you do. They are going to tell you things based on their history with ordering, which lets...
  16. 392s - How rare is rare?

They aren't THAT rare. The tracking spreadsheet someone has has listed ~2500 VINs for 392s but surely there are many that didn't get tracked for every one that did. Realistically I suspect that means they have probably made 8,000-15,000 of them but there doesn't seem to be reliable info on...
  17. Quality of Backup Camera

I'm glad you brought this up, unfortunately it was after I ordered or I probably would have ditched the front camera. I already thought the resolution of my 2020 JL backup camera was mediocre at best, didn't expect that adding an extra camera would make it worse!
  18. Alignment Way Off - Best Place to Take my 392?

Put me in the "I wouldn't have believed it if it didn't happen to me" camp, I also had tire-related pull. I agree that it seems unlikely that it would happen after a month of ownership but maybe not impossible. I had a Ram that went back to the shop 4 times for alignment and it was never...
