  1. What would you change on the 392??

Manual transmission would make this the ultimate vehicle, IMO.
  2. Dream with me... 392 stick shift

I agree with the OP. I am buying this knowing I may not like it because it’s an automatic, a manual would be amazing IMO…

I was back and forth on these two colors as well.... I have seen a Sting Grey 392 in person and it looked awesome, so can't really go wrong. 👍
  6. First pic of a 392XR (Xtreme Recon)!

I waited for XR package and stuck with Sarge Green. This thread makes me feel good about both of those decisions.

  8. Jeep 392 Xtreme Recon Package now on build & price. Suspension changes confirmed

Good point! Car & Driver just tested the 392 with Xtreme Recon and it was 4.0s 0-60mph with 35" tires. The gearing on this package will be interesting to drive. This is the only automatic vehicle I have been excited to purchase in 15 years, I have not driven it, but the thought of 35" tires...

  10. Anyone have 392 Xtreme Recon order confirmed built yet?

My dealer still shows zero Xtreme 392's in the US. Next week (supposedly) you can order a 2022, so maybe that is when this package is available to build? FWIW Car and Driver has one for review - so it does exist!
  11. How long will Jeep offer the 392?

My dealer can build a 22 and can do everything but place the order - They called Jeep, it looks like a 22 with Xtreme Recon package will be available in a few weeks and they will then place the order. I gambled a bit and requested a 22’, but after watching the Jeep presentation on the Xtreme...

  14. Jeep 392 Xtreme Recon Package now on build & price. Suspension changes confirmed

I am waiting for this package.... After trying to source parts, I think this package is what suits me best, rather than trying to build a package on my own, but it will be a longer wait - Let's go!
  15. Exhaust heat shield & over heating interior rear cargo area

I am going to try an insulated blanket first and see how that goes. There are also insulated blankets that are more like a tarp for those that have dogs that shed or make a mess. Cheap and easy and might do the trick? FWIW even in my Golf R hatchback , the car runs super hot above the muffler...
  16. Exhaust heat shield & over heating interior rear cargo area

Uh oh, my dog gets hot easy and will do road trips often. Was your exhaust closed?
  17. Lets see your 392 on 35's or 37's stock suspension or lifted...

Thanks! Do I need to have the dealer adjust the tpms, odometer, or tailgate?
  19. Lets see your 392 on 35's or 37's stock suspension or lifted...

There are some good looking Jeeps in this thread. I was firmly in the camp of keeping the stock 33" tires for acceleration, handling, mpg.... Then after seeing so many comments that the stock tires looked smallish & reading through this thread, now I want to go for 35" tires. What would...
