The 2019 JLUR in export RHD has it (along with parking sensors and 4H Auto Rock-Trac). It obstructs the view quite a bit.
It's also used for adaptive cruise control, not just the braking... I don't trust the auto emergency braking.
Well I wouldn't criticise them for testing anything... they need to do more of it. But knowing the brilliant bunch at Jeep, they probably test with hard top and not the soft top... leaving a good reason for the customer to bang their head on the wall when the softtop bellows under turbulence and...
That's terrible. Get them to compensate for engine damage. Get an independent place to evaluate the damage. If this happened to me, I'd not settle for anything less than an engine replacement under warranty.
