  1. What the #@&% is this abomination?

Haha. Ah come on! Doug's a classic. But I understand his style's not for everybody. Wild vehicle though, right? I'd only ever heard of it on his channel.
  2. What the #@&% is this abomination?

    It’s the Rhino GX!!
  3. XR package hype?

I'm curious what about this package increases GVWR by 300 pounds. Is it the iron knuckles? Also, where are y'all seeing that info? I don't see on Jeep's site when I add the XR package.
  4. AEV RX Bumper and Tire Carrier - My Installation Experience

Ooh good tip with removing the taillight. Does your carrier rub against it like it does in the video I posted? I will post pics when it’s done!
  5. AEV RX Bumper and Tire Carrier - My Installation Experience

I am half way through this installation now and I can confirm that it's frustrating. I didn't have quite as much damage, but there are definitely scuffs and scratches from shipping. Lots of the boxes had holes in them. For such a robust bumper, it's not packed well at all. At this point...
  6. Mojave Hood Swap for JL

Hey there, love your 2 door. I have a silver Rubi-2 and have thought about swapping for a sport hood because I don't really care for the Rubicon lettering. However, I've cut the bottom out of the louvres to make them functional and really like having the extra heat dissipation. I know the...
  7. Oil Catch Can and Blow-by

I've got a question about the oil that's "caught" in these cans. Seems like most people are dumping it but would there be any danger in simply returning it to the crank case? Say every 2k-3k miles you drain it directly into the oil filler neck? If we can expect to draw as much as TKL223/3 is...
  8. Steepest youve gone with your wrangler? Think i almost rolled mine.

I think it's the right choice, personally. Love the free air on my feet whenever possible. I usually have socks and boots along in case I need them, but I have never needed/wanted them, even in the rain and mud. To each their own, but I think flip-flops are the "smart" choice.
  9. Steepest youve gone with your wrangler? Think i almost rolled mine.

I love the flip-flops Easter egg. I pretty much exclusively wheel in flip-flops. I've never regretted it. In fact, if it were muddy or wet, I'd prefer to just walk barefoot and hose my heat off rather than slog around with wet boots and socks.
  10. Steepest youve gone with your wrangler? Think i almost rolled mine.

I hit 25 degree roll toward the passenger side the other day. My poor passenger was pretty stressed, haha. Luckily I was able to reverse uphill and take another line. I'm glad I tried another line but I've also been wondering what the upper limits are for pitch and roll in my 2 dr Rubicon.
  11. Factory LED headlights too bright?

    Indeed, a great idea.
  12. Factory LED headlights too bright?

    Thanks for the info. 👍
  13. Factory LED headlights too bright?

Right, but this has always been a problem even when not loaded.
  14. Factory LED headlights too bright?

I'm all for not focusing on your phone while driving, but what do you mean about not paying attention to headlights?
  15. Factory LED headlights too bright?

I'm currently 7k+ miles into a road trip from Michigan to California via 17 different states, and I've noticed this everywhere on our trip while driving at night. Great point about trailering and loading. The Jeep is currently fully loaded for the trip and definitely sagging in the rear...
  16. Factory LED headlights too bright?

Good to know. Did you also adjust to 3 feet high while 25 feet away?
  17. Factory LED headlights too bright?

I'm out on a long camping trip at the moment, but when I'm back home I'll check and measure the alignment. I feel you. Improperly seated fuses is an astounding oversight in quality control. I was lucky enough not to have that problem. Overall, I've actually had close to zero problems with my...
  18. Factory LED headlights too bright?

Yeah, that's a good point. Often times people are just hitting bumps in their lane, but this has been going on long enough that I can confirm that many people are angrily flashing their high beams.
  19. Factory LED headlights too bright?

Now that I'm reading through some responses I think I was incorrect to say that they're too bright - I think the problem is that they're just aimed too high from the factory. Yes, I think a minor adjustment is all I need.
  20. Factory LED headlights too bright?

    Thanks!
