  1. Don’t use passenger side grommet to get wires through firewall!

On the ARB power wires, I followed the ARB or JK Innovations bracket instructions (one of those) and drilled a hole under the seat (use a drill depth stop - don't nearly puncture your fuel line!!) and ran it underneath the body but above the frame instead of going through the grommet. It was...
  2. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

Thanks again to @partclay ! I bet that was cheaper to do than the $80 I paid to have them made in Mexico. My 3D printer only did PLA, so no way I'm putting that in an automotive application.
  3. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

The scratches down the side of my Jeep are a key reason I had wanted core or now those Element/trail doors (although now I am worried about how well it will hold back muddy water on trails; another benefit is no glass now except the windshield). Trails were not well maintained in 2020, and now...
  4. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

I should just note for everyone the doors are a LOT heavier now with the enclosures than when they were just tubes (not as much as factory doors though); just FYI in case the factory doors were a challenge. Still very easy to just pop these on the hinges.
  5. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Just ordered some adhesive vehicle seal on Amazon for $8; doesn't look exactly like Bestop's but similar enough I hope.
  6. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Yes, I already had the JK mirrors on when it was just the tube doors. I put that over the included screws for the enclosures - it's not completely flush fit for those mirrors, but is close enough. If you're not using mirrors, don't the enclosure screws stick out in to the cab area? Seems like...
  7. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Thanks for posting pics! I put mine together, but had not put them on the Jeep yet. I had put the weatherstrip seal around the outside as the manual showed, but it was not long enough to go all the way up - sounds like I will have some 'fun' with the fit and may have to buy some additional seal.
  8. Let us hear that you want Core Doors!

Did you ever receive your enclosures? I ordered mine and got them but I am waiting on the Element doors to be shipped and there is no ETA on the rear doors. The fronts were in stock but haven't shipped yet. Yes, I received them. I have not installed them yet.
  9. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

I used 3M black strip caulk to seal this gap, per another forum on this.
  10. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

use the 3d printed parts in this or another forum to reinforce the clamp areas - working for me so far
  11. Let us hear that you want Core Doors!

Here you are! Enclosures Uppers Lee - the...
  12. Must haves for JL rubicon?

Yes, that happened to me on my 2nd outing, ripped the plastic rear bumper half-way off. I also had to use a mallet and piece of wood to try to get a flat-looking license plate again.
  13. Keep an eye on Sirius/XM

I don't recall exactly what it was for (and my subscription was still tied to my Mustang 2 vehicles-ago), but I can tell you they turned my lifetime service back on in April after my January claim. Not sure I have app access, but the JL radio works. I definitely won't pay for it again - did...
  14. I finally understand why people hate mall crawlers

I like my RGB whip and rock lights, although they are rarely on (only off-road). And MicroCenter is fun.
  15. Is it just me or the proportions on the 2 door JL seem off?

Since this thread is show off your perfectly proportioned 2 door, here's one (early in Wade's evolution):
  16. Keep an eye on Sirius/XM

Closed now, last day to file was in January. Could get a payment, or reinstatement of my lifetime plan that was $400 12 years ago.
  17. Keep an eye on Sirius/XM

Just got my 2009 lifetime subscription reinstated thanks to the class action court case!
  18. Rubicon Armor

For posterity I should note that I have installed Metalcloak's system on my 2 door, and it was relatively easy to do myself (although that one nutsert was a pain given it's size and I don't have a lift). And I've watched more LiteBrite wheeling and many others since then, and am on 35's now...
  19. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

RTV for sealing, sure, but it was very flexible/loose like that video early. It does NOT move now with JB Weld (which I applied over the RTV)!
  20. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

Thank you for contacting them. My 3D printed inserts have kept mine rigid after a month (although had to take it off to change the battery and fuses with my unrelated radio error code 20). My air box was extremely loose, but a lot of JB Weld epoxy fixed that permanently.
