Great write up and I admire your willingness to experiment.
Anyone reading this and on the fence about getting the Rhino Rack could save themselves the trouble you went through and pick up the Frontrunner Extreme Slimline II Half rack. It does exactly what you’ve accomplished with your...
@Frank R. I’ll add my two cents.
I replaced ONLY the tires on a 2021 JLUR. Same wheels and the original TPMS.
When I left the shop, all four TPMS were reading. On the drive home, about 40 minutes worth, all four dropped out and I got the TPMS UNAVAILABLE message. After trying every fix/trick...
There are a ton of folks here running 37’s that have plenty of great advice on how to pull that off. Two of my personal favorite builds is @Headbarcode and @Jeepeto
Either of these two gentlemen can definitely point you in the right direction as far as the ins and outs of running 37s.
Get a lift that fits your needs. Are you going 3.5” and heading to Rubicon Trail every weekend, or are you two-tracking and looking to gain some articulation?
You said you’re commuting back and forth from work at the moment. A 3.5” lift might be more than what you need.
@JEEP392 Needs to weigh in here. He just had his rig outfitted by AEV and it’s a beaut.
I’m running their Dualsport 2.5” lift on the JLUR and it’s been phenomenal.
That said, I agree with their equipment being overpriced. I looked at their bumper/fuel caddy setup but couldn’t bring myself to...
I hope they get on it sooner rather than later. I had a similar issue with my YJ a while back. I had it at a local shop for the NY State yearly inspection. It didn’t move for three days. This is a process that takes 15 minutes tops AND I had an “appointment”.
I finally stopped there on my way...
“I haven’t contacted the appraiser for an update yet.”
Why? It’s your Jeep sitting there. Why aren’t you at least on the phone asking them what’s going on?
You have to look out for yourself. Like I said, it’s your Jeep sitting there. They aren’t going home at night thinking “Darn. Didn’t get to...
Here’s a good place to start. I can attest to their customer service being top notch and extremely knowledgeable. I hit them up with a thousand questions before I made my choice.
