  1. Occasional flashing brake and ABS light after 35" tires

A feature involving the brakes that is not a standard factory equipped one, then unexpectedly show up after the Zauto is installed could be perceived as a mistake on the programming end. I'm not saying it's not useful- it just should be programmed in the off mode out of the box, making the user...
  2. Occasional flashing brake and ABS light after 35" tires

Yes- brake hold. This issue was discussed a few weeks ago. When installing the Tazer, it is programmed out of the box to have the brake hold feature ON. This is a mistake I'm sure that ZAuto will fix in the next firmware version- but it has caused a lot of confusion and troubleshooting to figure...
  3. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

Humm- well in that case use a non-lifted stock Rubicon. Get the Meyer pro blade for it, lock up the axles and go to town! I suggest thinner winter tires with possible non-link chains as well. Those don't rip up the driveway I believe.
  4. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

Honestly with those grades and lengths I would definitely look into a small tractor with nice chains on the wheels. As I think you will probably be able to do it going downhill on a stock Jeep, it's just that one mistake you make that gets you stuck. I spoke to a guy who owns the West Kill...
  5. Signs of Failing Auxillary Battery?

YES!- that was it. There is a dedicated thread to this issue....just don't have time to locate it. It happened to every single person who unmarried their Tazer JL mini, upgraded the firmware and then remarried. The brake-hold feature programed to be ON straight out of the new firmware...
  6. Signs of Failing Auxillary Battery?

I believe that there is an issue with the Tazer JL mini being programed out of the box with a setting turned on when it should have been shipped with the option off, then if you want it turned on you do so. Something with braking.....folks were talking about it a couple of weeks ago. On startup...
  7. Pennsylvania 2018+ grille trim from rubicon/sahara

Just painted them last week and will be installing everything next week. I'll come back with pics.
  8. Pennsylvania 2018+ grille trim from rubicon/sahara

You can buy those three pieces at Quadratec as well as Mopar paint and clear coat. I just did this for the Black Satin Grill. Clean pieces well with alcohol wearing rubber gloves. Paint 3-5 coats of the color (dry in between), then many, many coats of clear. Go through three cans of clear, (dry...
  9. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

So it looks like all of the Jeep branded models are front 2" hitch attached except for the Drive Pro version. That looks to have the chassis that you bolt on to the frame, then the plow connects with a quick release type connection. That is better in my opinion than just a single-point...
  10. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

You're so right about the wet snow here, especially in the Catskills where the property is. Our neighbors use a Bobcat side by side with a plow on the front, but their road is more forgiving. Ours rides a little steeper and is only millings at this point, not top coated with asphalt just yet. I...
  11. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

Yes, I believe that the Drive Pro 6'8" is under 400lbs.
  12. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

I would do that, but it's a 1/2 mile drive and runs anywhere from 5-12 degrees in slope. My goal would be to start at the top and run down.
  13. Mopar / Meyer snow plows announced for JL and JT

Hi all- I am in the market for a light-weight plow for my 3.6 Manual 2021 JL and I came across this. The brochure isn't very informative, especially with how the "Pro" plow is attached to the vehicle. Just thought I would share. Also- is it a bad idea to hook one of these things up for long...
  14. Build options changed on Jeep.com

"Doors Off Mirrors" have been available for a while now. As a side note, I bought the Tube Door mounting mirrors that everyone has been waiting for. Received them last month- now time to get the tube doors! Here's the body mounted mirrors which reflect the build option I believe.
  15. Lifting JLUR 1" to 1.5" - Restricted By Height of Parking Garage - Your Experience?

Remember, you could always load up the Jeep with heavy concrete blocks every time you drive in.......
  16. Clutch problems

Just brought mine in to service here in Manhattan (2021 Sport S). Slipping clutch as of late, only 10,000 miles on it. Driving it new since January, paid cash out of pocket. Let's see what they say next week....... Side note: anyone here used South Bend Clutch? if so, could you recommend which...
  17. All weather floor mats, drain sticking up?

There is a video floating around YouTube that has a southern fella explaining how to remedy the issue of the drain plug NOT fitting properly into the floor. If you notice, when you push the mat extruded part into the floor, it doesn't seal in correctly. A design flaw. Anyway, he suggests that...
  18. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

I picked my JL Sport S in January. Early on during some challenging deep snow riding I would smell the new clutch "breaking in" as I thought...well maybe it was because it felt fine for the following months as the season changed to Spring then Summer. Most of my riding was from NYC to Catskill...
