  1. Show Me Your 4xe on 37s

How many miles per charge are you guys getting with the 37's?
  2. Just don't buy the 4xe! Please don't!

Did they give you an ETA on the replacement parts? They should at least provide an update every week or so.
  3. Dealers % Below Invoice on 2022 Wranglers

There are definitely alot of variables (how long bank takes to get me title, how long special order takes). I do have another car to drive so I guess its fine, but reselling my existing to carmax/auction is probably the best case scenario as they give the highest on trades.
  4. Just don't buy the 4xe! Please don't!

You purchased a Jeep, which already isn't the world's most reliable car... Add in a hybrid/battery as well as relatively early release 4XE and you're basically helping them beta test... I'm also willing to bet that your parts is probably stuck on one of those hundreds of cargo ships docked off...
  5. Dealers % Below Invoice on 2022 Wranglers

What kind of lead times are you guys seeing for the '22? 4XE specifically I need to coordinate the buyout/sell of existing Wrangler, only problem is the stupid banks are taking awhile to get the titles back
  6. Recommendation on a shop for re-gearing in Socal?

Ouch! So sorry to hear about the issues. These guys post often and seem to be well received on the socal jeeps group.. really wonder what happened. I haven't regeared my jeep yet but your experience definitely wants me to take a pause and reassess!
  7. 4xe purchase and 1150 mile drive home

Thanks for the detailed report on the 4XE, I've got a '21 JLUR (sarge green!) and wondering if i should make the switch so any bit of info helps! But so far, it seems that with oc gas prices + solar, I figure I can save about $5 of gas on each charge, or $10 a day if i plug in at home & work...
  8. 4xe Tax Credit explained and hints by someone who has done it twice.

And if you are applying for local EV credits / discounts, check the policy language as well. Make sure to print out/document the rules on *the day* you claim it in case it changes. In California I remember a clause requiring the car to be registered to you for a minimum amount of time or they...
  9. Does FedEx Suck Everywhere Else, Too?!

Short answer is, they both suck, because when their volume went up, there is no predictability in how irrops are handled. It doesnt go thru "first in first out", some of them will just sit and get delayed for days for one of many reasons, and in some instances, almost two weeks. Dont get me...
  10. Improvements of JL by model year?

The long long thread about it and the "workaround" https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/grinding-noise-in-4wd-on-brand-new-rubicon.38538/
  11. Grinding noise in 4WD on brand new Rubicon

This is my trade off too... Using Jscan to recode (and having to pull the dash and plug the bypass, etc) or just deal with the grinding. It sounds so bad that I feel that something will break, and I dont know if they'd honor warranty or claim that I 'abused' it. TBH i haven't gone to any...
  12. Improvements of JL by model year?

I can say that Jeep virtually made 4L inoperative/unusable on many 2021 Rubicons... mine included.
  13. Grinding noise in 4WD on brand new Rubicon

Thats great! So you just shut off ABS only? I've been hitting only the easy trails lately so i can avoid 4L like the plague lol, but i'll definitely give this a shot!
  14. Grinding noise in 4WD on brand new Rubicon

For those of your with Jscan which "options" did you select to disable the necessary features? The menus are extremely lengthy.
  15. 4xe Tax Credit explained and hints by someone who has done it twice.

And... research/document the minimum amount of time you need to keep the car for to prevent IRS from invalidating your credit. Minimums do exist for purchases, somewhat gray for leases.
  16. 4xe Dealer MSRP Discount vs. Actual Sticker wayyy off

The 4-6 hours at dealership is extremely unnecessary and basically a carefully designed/thought out process so the exact thing you said can happen... Literally every step of the 'sales' process is carefully thought out to maximize dollars while carefully threading the needle on the state laws...
  17. 4xe Dealer MSRP Discount vs. Actual Sticker wayyy off

Dealers make most their money on the trade in, the financing markup, and the add on's. Very little profit is made on the car itself unless its crazily marked up. And for some reason this add on crap happens a LOT at CDJR dealerships compared to other brands which might not even add a single...
  18. 4XE - Worse mileage than other motors (after battery depleted)?

Thanks for sharing your experience, really appreciate it. Still super new car so hopefully the "long term" tests/reviewers can yield some real world data. This may be the first hybrid car that gets worse mileage (after the battery runs out) but driving around town is free (if on solar) or...
  19. 4XE - Worse mileage than other motors (after battery depleted)?

Thanks for pointing that out. And yes definitely know about the drag just dont know how much it actually affects it haha
  20. 53.6 MPG in a Wrangler 4XE?!?!

Someone please report highway range when you get the chance, I'm very curious how far the 4xe goes on a full charge+tank on the highway. The 370 that EPA lists is somewhat alarming because its less than the non-hybrid models, but the 4XE proves to be a very good daily commuter (if charged...
