  1. Should I add remote proximity keyless entry??

+1 on this! 😂😂 However, I very rarely lock my Jeep at all. I have a manual, which is essentially an anti-theft device. Plus, I figure if a thief really wants inside my Jeep when the doors and top are on, they won’t be deterred. I may make myself an easier target, but I don’t keep anything of...
  2. How are your cloth seats holding up?

Thanks, brewski. This is exactly what I was looking for. I run top down and/or doors off most of the spring, summer, and fall…plus Ive got kids and the dog with me most of the time. Sounds like I need to do the same
  3. How are your cloth seats holding up?

A question for y’all running seat covers… I had always assumed I’d get some once the stock seats started showing signs of wear. Are you running them now to prevent the wear and to preserve resale value? I plan on handing down my Jeep to my son in about 7-8 years, so it’s hopefully got a long...
  4. Best place to purchase replacement soft top window(s)

I need to replace the rear window on my soft top and I'm trying to find the most economical place to get it. I do have the premium soft top....and I about had a stroke at the cost to replace. I don't mind paying a few dollars more if it's with someone that supports the forum (although a...
  5. I don't get the Sahara

I wish it was completely a la carte across all trims. I have a JLU Rubicon with the manual & very few other options....I'd have given anything to have manual windows & locks.
  6. Anyone regret choosing black paint?

I love the look of a black jeep, but I didn't get one for two reasons. I only wash my jeep every 4-6 weeks, and I know I would be OCD about any imperfection the caked on dirt would create (as soon as I knew it was there, my eyes would be constantly drawn to it). Second, it gets hot as balls in...
  7. I don't understand....maybe it's me

that’s a great point I never thought about. I live in a pretty rural area, so I’d say that’s a rare exception...but definitely a solid reason to not go open air. Again, I know there are different strokes for different folks. Just curious as to why people do or don’t
  8. I don't understand....maybe it's me

My apologies. I didn’t realize there were such strict editorial standards on the forum. If you can send me a link to your preferred style guide, I’ll do my bests to tailor my future posts and comments to the acceptable format. #RandomSarcasticFeedback
  9. I don't understand....maybe it's me

I wasn't trying to come across as "mcjudgy pants". As I said in an earlier post, there are different strokes for different folks. I genuinely was curious. I don't own a hard top and never thought of the pain in the ass factor.
  10. I don't understand....maybe it's me

I totally get there are different strokes for different folks. I wasn't trying to troll anyone for not wanting to get some fresh air. I probably would have been zipped up if I was doing some highway driving, but for cruising around town (simple two and four lane roads) it seemed odd....when I...
  11. I don't understand....maybe it's me

Just a random thought/question... Yesterday was a picture perfect day in Atlanta. It was the first sunny & warm weekend day we've had in months. The temps were unseasonably warm (almost 70 vs an avg of 56). All I could think about was riding around topless knowing that today was going to be...
  12. Soundbar Subwoofers amp or no amp

I’m pretty sure you don’t get a stand-alone amp unless you get the upgraded Alpine system. Also, the speakers in the sound bar aren’t subwoofers...the subwoofer comes with the Apine system and is in the cargo area.
  13. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

they are definitely dealing. I just bought my 2020 JLUR last week and I got it for what I thought I’d pay for a leftover 2019.
  14. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

I miss the simplicity of my 2012 JKUR. I had the basic radio with the Alpine package. Unfortunately, with the JL, you can’t get a basic radio and an upgraded sound system. Yes, consumers like the higher tech, but I think auto manufacturers are forcing you into more expensive trims and packages...
  15. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

FCA isn’t the only manufacturer out of control with pricing. The price of full size trucks has gotten stupid. I bought a fully loaded F150 Lariat 4x4 10 years ago for ~$45k our the door...today you’d be lucky to get it for ~$55k.
  16. Wrangler died while driving!

I’d wait and see what the diagnosis is and not start demanding a new vehicle without knowing the issue.
  17. Wrangler died while driving!

I know that’s the natural first reaction but I think you should wait and see what the diagnosis is before making any demands/decisions. To be honest...I’m not sure how well demanding anything will go over...especially since the dealer isn’t the one that would have to make that call on their own.
  18. What lift size + tire size is this Jeep??

I bet those 22's do amazing out on the trail. but seriously....the nice thing about the Jeep community is to see how people personalize them to fit what THEY want.
  19. Latest JLU issues

With pretty much everything on the Jeep either electronic or powered by some type of chip, we may need a way to reboot/reset things...might solve all the issues
  20. Did you keep your Jeep resolutions for ‘19? Do you have any for ‘20?

I just got mine the 2nd of January, so a perfect time to make resolutions. My goal is to take one day a month and go exploring in the jeep....trails, fire roads, beaches, etc. Just get out and go! After all that, I'll make my resolution on a lift, tires, winch, etc as I feel I'll have a...
