  1. 3.6L, 8 AT, 37”: 4.88 or 5.13?

5.13 here and I love them with my heavier build. I was on the fence for 4.88 or 5.13 but after all the threads on 5.13 here I was sold to make the jump and glad I did. Got 8th back, better pickup, and just feels smoother overall. Build: JLUR, beadlock 37s, UD44 in front, chromoloy axel shafts...
  2. Impressions from a 5.13 gears install on a JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (JLUR)

Has anyone contacted Jeep cares and see what they think of the whole situation and/or if they can provide any help on rectifying this mess? I’m going to assume so and it went no where based on the fact some of the folks here have really gone the extra mile badgering both sides for us with no...
  3. Truss JLUR axles or go to Dana Ultimate 44?

Just got back JLUR back from the shop and had the UD44 installed w/ 5.13s rather than trussing. So far I think it was the better choice for me to beef everything up as I have no intentions of going beyond 37/38in tires and seemed like the cost effective route (when you factor in chromoloy axel...
  4. The Tire Carrier Thread

I had the same setup as you (carrier, tire size and rim) before moving to the teraflex tire carrier and I never had that issue.
  5. The Tire Carrier Thread

No problem. I'm usually not a huge teraflex fan, but this tire mount is by far one of the best I could find out there in regards to really well built, flexibility, and cost effective. It allowed me to get the tire super tight to the tailgate which is awesome. I'm running 37s on beadlocks and...
  6. The Tire Carrier Thread

Yes, what he circled is exactly what I was talking about.
  7. The Tire Carrier Thread

you should not need the part you referenced. I’m running both and only needed to use the two small brackets shown coming with reinforcement kit to ensure everything is even for mounting on the left upper and lower sides...
  8. Has anyone installed the Mopar Trailer Brake Controller?

So if I want to be impatient and not wait on mopar to come to a solution is the easier fix to just buy an aftermarket cable with the diode and fix the issue myself with the mopar controller or are their other issues I need to be aware about. Trying to follow the multiple threads on this but I’m...
  9. Impressions from a 5.13 gears install on a JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (JLUR)

so the regear is not likely the culprit entirely but likely helped exacerbate the known issue in my case. Basically the sensor isquite failure prone and sensitive. Their is lots of threads about it here in the forums and currently becasue the sensor is not sold 3rd party or direct from Jeep only...
  10. Impressions from a 5.13 gears install on a JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (JLUR)

I just went 5.13 with 37 beadlocks and man does it feel good city driving so far. I’m shocked how much of a positive difference it made on my fairly heavy build. I dunno if it’s a psychological thing or I just haven’t been driving enough this year but my shift points feel smoother / less jerky...
  11. Rear Axle Replace on Rubicon for Flashing Locker Light

Right that’s totally what I suspect. The fact you practically look at it and fails. Any minute movement or changes adjecent are enough to initiate failure. It sure would be nice that Jeep would acknowledge this via a TSB and solve in a simple and timely manner but I know that’s too much to ask...
  12. Rear Axle Replace on Rubicon for Flashing Locker Light

lmao well I did drive in there with a working one and the only thing that changed Was working being performed....
  13. Rear Axle Replace on Rubicon for Flashing Locker Light

I just got bit by this too... Had my rear axel re-geared to 5.13. Pretty sure the sensor went bad when the shop did the work. Looking into ordering the z-harness now. *sigh* really wish the part was available.
  14. The Tire Carrier Thread

Completed the teraflex alpha HD install today with 37in KO2s and beadlocks and was able to get the tire super tight To the tailgate. Solved all my issues with the backup sensors false positive’ing and provided better view than I had with the full mopar oversized setup and now have enough...
  15. Florida WARN 102639 Stealth Series Winch Cover, Fits: Zeon, Zeon Platinum

It’s sold. Sorry forgot to update thread.
  16. BFG Ko2's suck that bad in rain?

37 KO2s w/ beadlocks here and live in FL where it rains all the time. I’m built heavy and no issues. Only gripe is stopping distance and that’s on the brakes and not the tires. That will be my next upgrade....
  17. Mopar Brake Controller Installation

Thanks! You don’t happen to have a pic of it installed this is looking like a very good solution for me too.
  18. Mopar Brake Controller Installation

Which did you end up going with. Did you have to custom make a filler plate or find something prefab?
