  1. Any North Central WI clubs?

So after doing A LOT of reading and triple checking with the US forest service here’s the route I went on. Before I begin: Some of this trail is closed during the year. Please check with the US forest service map to insure you’re legally driving on these roads during the correct time. Some of...
  2. Any North Central WI clubs?

So I’m heading out that way this weekend (memorial day weekend). Thinking of saturday going up near Mountain, WI and Lakewood, WI. I read the stuff about pipeline but from what others are saying here it sounds like it’s closed? The web really had very little jeep trail information out there...
  3. Any North Central WI clubs?

My in-laws live on the north side of Green Bay and I’m also looking for areas not far from there to explore. Any suggestions?
  4. Manual Transmission and T-Case Fluid Change Today

Transmission was feeling a little notchy, so decided I’d change out the fluid. 21k miles on my 2018. Like many of the other pictures on here my magnet on the transmission plug had a good amount of break-in shavings. Fluid was pretty dark red too. Changed it out for Amsoil Signature Series...
  5. Manual Transmission and T-Case Fluid Change Today

For anyone looking for a slick way to drain the transfer case without making a massive mess I took a milk jug, cut it in half the long way and made a slide for the fluid. Zero mess.
  6. 4.56 regear done with 6 speed manual

I would have it done by an offroad shop that is known for doing built up rigs. Checking with local clubs could help you figure out who meets that need. Every area is different on prices, but I’d expect somewhere between $2k to $3500 depending on gear brand and labor costs. My recent job just...

Power Stop Stainless Steel Brake Hose Kit for 4-Inch Lift; Front and Rear (18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon, Sahara) Part number BH00147 This is brand new. Here’s the situation. 9. Swap for D44 front or beef up D30?

Ended up regearing to 4.56 and keep the d30 for now. I plan on upgrading to 35’s and sticking with that for now. Real happy with the 4.56’s. Runs great with the 6-speed.
  10. 4.56 regear done with 6 speed manual

Quick review of the setup: 6 speed, 3.6l Tire: 285/70r17 Stock rims Rubicon suspension Smittybilt winch, LOD front bumper, Roam rock rails.. lot of added weight. These 4.56 gears are great. I’m only 40 miles into my break-in period so I’ve been going real easy on it. I will say the torque is...
  11. Motive Power Bleeder Adaptor for 3.6l?

For anyone searching in the future the 0103 adaptor fits the 3.6l motor, at least for a 2018 JL. Best of luck!
  12. 4.56 regear done with 6 speed manual

Got my appointment on Tuesday for the jeep to go in for 4.56 gears from my local shop. I should have it back by Thursday. I’ll post up here my thoughts after.
  13. Motive Power Bleeder Adaptor for 3.6l?

I’m hoping someone can confirm which Motive Power Bleeder fits the JL 3.6l motor. From motive’s website it says: Thru most of the 2000s jeeps used the 0103 kit (0113 metal version) using the 1103 (1113) adapters. As production of some smaller Jeeps are using Fiat components there is a chance...
  14. Arizona Wanted! Taser mini!

Be careful of people PM’ing you with offers. Lot of scammers around this. Ask for photos. Ask for a photo with a random set of letters next to it. Don’t become a scam. Just trying to protect another member since this is EXACTLY what happened to me.
  15. Alpine PSS-23WRA Sound System Upgrade - Review and Suggestions

Sounds like you have a pinch in your wire somewhere. Like a grounding issue. I’d pull the speakers out and make sure you didn’t clip one of those wires. Also I’d disconnect them from the factory wiring and re-install them. Maybe they weren’t seated all the way?
  16. Alpine PSS-23WRA Sound System Upgrade - Review and Suggestions

You confirmed your sub is set to remote power on right? It was a little button that should be out if I recall correctly.
  17. Alpine PSS-23WRA Sound System Upgrade - Review and Suggestions

mine turns off. I saw it turn off while I was installing everything back into the Jeep.
  18. Alpine PSS-23WRA Sound System Upgrade - Review and Suggestions

So as many have seen PAC-Parts no longer sells the items needed to build the kit. From CamelCamelCamel I knew that amazon every so often had this for near $850, which was PAC-Parts price. Earlier this week I saw it on sale for $899 so I pulled the trigger. Showed up yesterday. Here’s some...
  19. Swap for D44 front or beef up D30?

Thanks for the info. Good to know about you not having issues with the D30. As for lift, I know I can fit 35’s as-is. Lift will come later down the road after more skid protection. I was able to get over some things in northern Minnesota’s Iron Range ORV park, but I was getting caught up on a...
  20. Swap for D44 front or beef up D30?

Yes agreed many in the past have run 3, 4, and 5speed in the past... when that was what they had. I wheeled a 5-speed TJ for many years. As I went up in tire size I quickly figured out the gears needed to be addressed. I did that myself with the help of a friend and it was a world of difference...
