so in the middle of the night when you have to pee you don't have to wake up your wife and vise versa..I also have done this route but problem with tents on your rig is you have break camp all the time to run around.
I know some people aren't fans of trailers for tents, but I am...checks more boxes for me. Allows me to keep the 2 door (lower toe rating) and it keeps the camping set up separate from the Jeep.
Double ladder... interesting. Is that for support purposes?
...conducive to solar charging and LiFePO4 are much more capable of being partially drained for periods of time. Even if you do extreme weather camping there are self-heating LiFePO4 batteries that you can insulate.
So I can't answer your question as I'd never use an AGM battery for this...
Well I pulled the trigger and am following your design pretty closely.
Just curious if the little screw that holds in the cargo tub gave you any heart burn? The extrusion is sort of leaning towards the gussets when i tighten down the large M8 bolts in the gussets.
...jk with oem batteries I never had an issue. I do like the peace of mind using the jackery tho. I have a solar panel that I can put out when camping and it keeps up with the fridge. My ARB50 has been probably one of my best investments. when not in the jeep or truck it is in my house keeping...
My wife said the same thing until she tried the ExPed air matresses we use for backpacking and until recently camping (now have an RTT). But for that small area, those air mattresses probably wont fit well because they will be too long, even the short ones - but it is worth looking into them...
I was skeptical about the air based Static V too until I took a chance on it...with sleeping bag on top it is really comfortable. Klymit also has the Klymaloft in various sizes and I have the larger one for two people sleeping...it is a nice blend of foam and air and it is exceptional. But with...
...my feet just touch the corner and that's how tall I am.
My biggest issue with a sleeping pad is me. I have issues falling asleep on anything that is air based as opposed to foam based. I may give this setup one more camping trip and then upgrade to a 4" foam pad to see if that's any better.
Not sure what the diagonal length is there but perhaps a single sleeping pad from Klymit would work. The static v pads are comfortable and pack up nice and small.

It is warming up out there. We went camping at Ocotill Wells two weeks ago. It got up to 85 which was nice for a while but got pretty uncomfortable it the afternoon. We figure the desert camping season is over but the day trips are still doable.
The way I read that is the trailer should be level when the tongue on the trailer is at 19”. Your Jeep will drop when you connect the trailer, you’ll be adding 10% of the trailer weight then.
The best thing is to get the trailer/ with boat, hook it up and see what’s what before you go out and...
...over the Deepsleep. Worked ok but I'm thinking maybe I need to go 4inch but not sure if it's worth the money.
I don't think an actual camping pad would work since I don't think it could fit diagonally. I need something I can cut to the shape of the back. Anyone have any thoughts besides...
