  1. 3.6L ESS IBS Information

I took both positive and negative cables off the main battery, the main battery completely disconnected. I put the tender on the disconnected cables thinking it would charge only the secondary battery. I had previously had the tender on the main battery with cables attached. When the engine is...
  2. 3.6L ESS IBS Information

After constantly having “Start/Stop not available battery charging”, I took my 2019 Wrangler in for service. After a full day in the shop, I was told everything was fine, the issue is that I don‘t drive the vehicle enough. Truth be known, I haven’t driven the vehicle much the past year. I...
  3. ESS "Not Ready Battery Charging" question.

I was getting the start stop battery charging messages I took my Wrangler in for service yesterday. I don’t drive my Jeep daily and have driven less than normal the year. According to the tech both batteries checked out OK. The message seems to be generated by the intelligent battery sensor...

I went with a Carolina Metal Masters ball and a Tackform mount. Clean install and very sturdy.
  5. Gorilla Glass for JLs: it's available now. has anyone tried it on a JL yet? my next windshield will be my 7th...

I chipped mine and had if fixed. But it’s right in line of sight and driving my nuts. I called Safelite to check on replacing, if I want a replacement with the little Jeep Easter egg, it’s like an extra $150.

  8. The huge Jeep key fob issue solved (well maybe)

I just read a very brief article regarding Apples next iOS update. It might just have a car fob app that will unlock and start cars. I really hope the Wrangler is compatible.
  9. Badmouthing Jeep

I bought my new Jeep back in July and couldn’t be more pleased with it. Shortly after buying my a Jeep, I joined this forum. I don’t spend as much time here as I thought I would because of the complainers.

  11. 'Badass' baby Jeep in the works for 2022

I think it would be great as a second vehicle for around town. And maybe hunting/fishing or a farm vehicle. 4 WD capability but not intended for serious off road use. I wonder how many Wranglers never even see 4 WD.
  12. Backup camera upgrade

On my previous vehicle, I didn’t trust the camera when backing into a parking spot. The Wrangler is spot on.
  13. Stupid things non-Wrangler owners say

Owing a Wrangler and a Harley is a real hoot.
  14. JLU Ava car wash

With cooler weather I’m not as inclined to wash my JK in the driveway. Three piece hardtop. Anyone taken one through a car wash? Drive-thru, no brushes.
  15. How much steering play does your JL have?

I notice no play in my steering. I have driven pickups in the past, had I been used to low slung FDW - I just don’t know.
  16. How does everyone mount their cell phones?

It lists Gladiator though and 2020 was the first model year.
  17. Why NOT Lease JLUR?

I considered leasing my 2019 JLUR. A Wrangler is an excellent lease vehicle because the resale value is strong. I decided against it because of the sales tax. Texas sales tax on a new car is terrible. But it you trade in on the new vehicle, you only pay sales tax on the net amount. My trade in...
  18. Are Jeep Service Departments that bad?

Just like any other brand. There are good dealerships and bad dealerships depending on local management. For local work, you can ask around. When traveling it’s a bit more difficult, might try Google.
  19. How does everyone mount their cell phones?

So you don’t use the double sided tape to mount it? How’s that working out? Thanks.
  20. 3.6 vs 2.0

My Jeep is a 2019 so as far as I know, the etorque was the only 4 banger available then. You are right about the fuel. I prefer to run regular with no corn but that’s fodder for another thread
