My question is, a lot of people install a lift and bigger tires. It seems like a dealer could easily say that was the problem and not want to fix anything. Anyone with lifted Jeeps get a new steering box?
I am a bit surprised at the number of responses that have never needed a shovel for recovery. I have had to get myself out of both sand and snow with a shovel. One winter a couple years ago with out my shovel my Jeep would have probably stayed in the woods until spring. I always carry one.
