  1. DIY Metalcloak 3.5" Game Changer Lift Install and Review

I ran on the stock driveshaft for a while with the GC. No issues from the lift. I did have some driveshaft contact with the MC skid plates I had also installed, but only at high flex. Normal driving and moderate off-road obstacles were fine.
  2. The Roof Rack List (JL / JLU Wrangler)

Nope that was by choice. I had two reasons there, one was to help offset the naturally 'passenger heavy' stance or lean of the Jeep to help maintain an overall relatively even weight distribution, and the second was to leave as much available rack space for other stuff as possible since the...
  3. Project SWAMPCAT

Well, I'm not sure. Our adventuring style and needs are best suited by a full-size truck, and it will likely be a Ram 2500 variant. However, I'm undecided as to whether I want to build one, or just buy a ProspectorXL and get straight to the adventuring part. I've also been tempted to restore...
  4. Project SWAMPCAT

Apologies for the slow reply. It was a busy holiday. Personally, I loved the Hutchinson's and I will definitely be buying another set eventually, but they aren't the right wheel for everyone so I don't recommend them universally. They are heavier than almost all other beadlocks on the...
  5. Project SWAMPCAT

Thanks! Yeah it was a bit sad to see it go, but I have no regrets, and eventually there will be another build.
  6. WARN Zeon Advanced Wireless Winch Controller Issues

While the ZEON issues are frustrating and unacceptable from a company like WARN, equipment failures are something you have to account for when planning a wheeling trip. This is one reason why you should never go wheeling alone.
  7. Project SWAMPCAT

Well, we sold the Jeep over the weekend. It was bittersweet but I have no regrets. As a way of saying goodbye, I leave you all with pictures from the December issue of FourWheeler magazine (on shelves now), wherein lies a 4-page feature on Project Swampcat. I will likely not be very active in...

  9. Texas 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Rubicon - Adventure Ready

You're a firefighter? Thanks for all you do! Don't sweat the material things, family comes first. Spend your time building memories instead of building Jeeps.
  10. WARN Zeon Advanced Wireless Winch Controller Issues

The other day I finally received the new battery Warn sent me. I'll get it installed this week. Additionally, I had no problems syncing and using the extra remote I bought, so that is a solution, but it's not a good one considering the price tag on the new remote (~$150).
  11. Project SWAMPCAT

Thanks! The plan is a Ram 2500 of some kind. Not sure yet if we're gonna go Power Wagon or Prospector or some other variant.

Swampcat is FOR SALE!! (Although you'll have to rename it...) Link to the Marketplace listing -->
  13. Texas Sold: 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Rubicon - Adventure Ready

Well, as much as I LOVE this Jeep, my family needs a truck. Since the wife doesn't wanna give up her van, and I can't afford 3 vehicles... here's your chance to own a very well built and trail tested Jeep (featured in FourWheeler Magazine). This is a turnkey adventure rig just waiting for the...
  14. WARN Zeon Advanced Wireless Winch Controller Issues

I updated the original post again to remove the links for the batteries and chargers I had listed there because they have 2-pin connectors, but the WARN remote uses a 3-pin connector. :headbang: I still haven't received the replacement battery that WARN was supposed to be sending me. So, the...

Contractor dumped a load of sand in the driveway, so what's a Jeeper to do...
  16. How Can We Help?

Okay thanks! I've been looking online and it seems to bee called a self-clinch nut, and this particular one is made by a company called RIFAST. I'll keep looking, but thanks for the help!
