  1. If Money Grew On Trees I’d still chose a Wrangler!

There were a couple of vehicles I was looking at for my purchase before deciding on a Jeep Wrangler coming off my last vehicle - a '06 F250 V10 w/ 4:30 gears. I liked my wife's '19 Santa Fe a lot so I was kinda geeked on getting a Genesis GV80. Liked the BMW X5, Cadillac XT5 & XT6 too. If the...
  2. 2022 Jeep JL Willys Extreme Recon Announced for $40,930; Orders Open in October

I have asked a couple dealers what they sell most of. They all said the Sport model - whether it's people wanting to get a Jeep at the cheap, or simply because the real hard core off road guys are simply going to mod the heck of them with more rugged stuff than what the Rubicon already comes...
  3. Soft top or hard top?

Decided on a hard top (kinda have too with the HA), but that's what I wanted. Could have gotten a soft top with it, but really not needed. For a little sunshine the freedom panels are easy to remove and install. I do have a motor pulley system on my garage roof that lifts the hard top up and out...
  4. When did your battery die?

    2021 (3.6 Etorque), 14,5k miles - 11 months no issue
  5. How long do Jeeps usually last?

My daughter has 160k on her '10 JK - no major issues. They are as reliable as the next vehicle.
  6. Is there any way to tell a 2.0 just by looking at it?

The numbers are the numbers released and generally accepted as good - sure an individual engine may prices a few better or worse than those numbers, but....anyway. Dynos certainly can vary depending on a host of factors. If the 2.0 find it's way into the Grand Cherokee (not as a 4XE version)...
  7. What is one of the most overlooked features of your Jeep?

Great posts! I like the way the wiper fluid REALLY flows (almost floods) on the windshield and that it does it a split second before the wipers start doing their thing.
  8. Gold 392 Door Sills

If the sills are stainless anodizing isn't an option (except heat anodizing, but that's not really the same thing). Like mentioned though a plating company can give you some options.
  9. Is there any way to tell a 2.0 just by looking at it?

3.6 = 285hp / 260 ft/lbs 2.0 = 268hp / 295 ft/lbs They both use the same tranny so the reality is the 2.0 doesn't put enough power to warrant an upgraded transmission or driveline. as far as an option on the other vehicles described - won't happen.
  10. 2018 Jeep Wrangler Fire

That's terrible pard - hope you get everything taken care of and will be back in the saddle with a new Jeep soon.
  11. Jeep JL Credit it Deserves!

No issues with Jeep LED's in Michigan where we get plenty of snow driving time. I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, and last year never once had a problem even through the snow storms. I can understand your point in really heavy storms, but even my '06 F250 had slush sticking to...
  12. Jeep JL Credit it Deserves!

Living here in Michigan we have some tough winters - haven't heard or experienced any issues of flickering lights or driving in the snow. The factory LEDs are fine and in fact put out great visibility.
  13. Rich Jeepers

Yeah, am aware of a lot of things. I enjoy what I do. My work doesn't stop me from doing other things that are enjoyable. Thanks for your concern. Oy.
  14. What Non-Factory Mod is Absolutely Worth Every Penny

My KC 3" cubes - hooked into my auxiliary panel (button #3) system. They are great when traveling back roads in Michigan as deer spotters along each side of the road.
  15. Rich Jeepers

As long as I can physically work, don't have any intention of retiring - I am a PCD machine tool salesman/application guy. Love doing what I do.
  16. Rubicon hood decals on a Sport
