I am thinking to do the same and wondering do I really need to disconnect the battery since there is also an Aux battery to supply the power. Now it begs the questions on how to disconnect the aux battery.

It seems everything I've read here suggest Aux 1 & 2 are for 40 amps and Aux 3 & 4 are for 15 amps. I believe this is true for factory installed options.

The plastic splash guard won't fit. I did some cutting and trimming. They are soft plastic and pretty easy to cut.
