  1. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

Couldn’t have said it better. I’d planned on the cost when I was building it on-line, so was already prepared to spend the money. Yes, there are less expensive solutions. But for better or worse I’m a “do it once and do it right” (or better put, the way you really want to do it) then get on...
  2. My hood prop stolen

    Dont be that guy.
  3. Under Hood Heat

Thanks for the nudge. I went with Elite because I like how the lighter, brighter stainless will contrast with such a dark environment on my Granite Crystal Metallic. Love how they raise the hood slowly and gently like that. But I’ll still keep the axe handle in the back for… whatever.
  4. Oil Catch Can and Blow-by

Thank you for this summary. New guy here, learning as I go. I’d never heard of a catch can. It seems in so many topics usually two camps emerge : “you don’t really need to do that” and “I always do that.” I’m one of those guys that believes in small things over long spans of time can matter...
  5. Redline Tuning Hood Struts - 5 minute Bolt-In installation!

Super cool. I'll be ordering a set soon. Thank you.
  6. Under Hood Heat

That’s pretty cool. I’ll check them out.
  7. Under Hood Heat

After the first few times burning my fingers trying to unclip the prop from the (cheap) yellow, plastic retainer I knew there had to be a better way. This ax met an untimely end late last year and after a good shellac and a few beers, we’ll… everyone likes to feel useful.
  8. Under Hood Heat

OK, so I'm the new kid and I just read through (almost) every post in this thread. I have a question: does anyone else regularly open their hood when done driving to allow all that pent-up heat to dissipate more quickly? I started doing it on my last car after it developed cooling issues and the...
  9. North Carolina 2021 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Suspension Take-offs

If I lived close enough for local pick up these would be sold. Colorado is a little far for a quick trip... good luck.
  10. Flush Mount Style LED Tail Lights for Jeep Wrangler JL

If they're truly plug n' play for existing halogen tail light vehicles, I'd buy 'em - and I'm an OEM guy. So there you go.
  11. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

It’s easy to do yourself. And when you walk in to your dealer with the Mopar installation instructions, complete with codes and how to enter them, there’s not much that can go wrong. Good luck.
  12. What was your Journey to Owning a Jeep? Post your first Jeep pic!

The opposite of an impulse buy: I'd wanted a Wrangler since 2006 when the 4-door Unlimited was announced. The 4 doors moved it from something that would be fun to have to actually being practical for me at the time. I was in the market for a new vehicle and looked at it hard, but in the end went...
  13. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

You definitely earned the MacGyver badge for the effort :-). I would have lived with the halogens before doing that. Hats off.
  14. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

Thanks Dennis. Yeh, here out west it’s a real thing. Having seen far too much of it in my driving it’s always horrible. I was T-boned by a doe a few years back. As she slid down the side of the car after denting my front left quarter panel, her head lopped off my driver’s side rear view mirror...
  15. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

Hi Steve, Sorry, but I'd have no way of knowing. If you do the Mopar LED fogs, I'd think so... but they seemed to work for me before the flash too, so it's hard to know. The DRL's are something I know little about, outside the halos of the OEM LED's. My turn indicator/side markers are not from...
  16. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

Hey Ryan, From where I sit, I'd say it's worth a trip to the dealer to answer that question. If they're anything like mine, they'll work to help you answer it. I don't know what will happen... but I know this: I'd get tired of trying to remember to marry and unmarry something all the time to...
  17. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

Hi Brandon, Yes it would. I intended to order my Wrangler and have him built with the LED's, but this one was en route when I visited the dealer in mid-April, and aside from the the LED's was exactly how I had set him up on line, so went with it. I didn't see the need to wait another 6+ weeks...
  18. Factory Halogen to OEM LED Headlights Swap - What I Learned

After having spent the last month+ working through the rather confusing topic of swapping my stock halogens for the Mopar LED and Fog Light Group, the issue was finally resolved today with a second trip to my (great) dealer. I think I've read through every thread I could find on the topic on...
