  1. Let’s see lifted granite crystal metallics!

Suspension is mix of components: clayton short arms, synergy 2-3" springs, synergy relocation bracketry, steersmarts tie rod, clayton trackbars, fox bump stops and elka DC shocks with rebounds adjustment. As for the fenders, I like the look and turn signals but the fit is not great and the...
  2. Combating Overlander Squat

The solution is an air lift like you tried. Pretty sure you had a defective bag or didn't follow instructions closely. My overland setup is heavy, real heavy and I've run a set for 3 years now. Without them it used to squat almost touching the bump stops, now I can level it up like its not...
  3. Help me settle the regear ratio question

From my experience: 4.10 for 33s, 4.56 for 35s, 4.88 for 37s. That is on an auto tranny though.

  5. Let’s see lifted granite crystal metallics!

Here's mine. Doesn't look like much since I wanted a low cog build but it runs whoops like no buddie's business and flexes to 40".
  6. Dealing with significant rear sag?

I run a RTT, awning, full kitchen, 11gal of water and house battery when overlanding so I know the sag you're referring to! Since I run without my overland kit most of the time I didn't want to have stiff springs. So I went with an air lift, 150$ later and its perfect! 30 psi when loaded, 5...
  7. Synergy Springs

Just to add another option here, after adding the synergy 2" springs, mine sits level unloaded. My camping setup is rather heavy so I added an air lift to level it back up when needed. Works great. For anyone interested, the air lift 60917 fits perfectly with the 2" synergy springs.
  8. Accutune with fox 2.5 factory shocks review

I'm not done yet, still need to tinker with the driver side and set caster. They took 2 months to get here from time of order. I'll make a review thread when I get some time on the road with them.
  9. Accutune with fox 2.5 factory shocks review

That's weird, I bought a set of Elka shocks which mount very similarly to the fox and at full stuff/lock with 35" tires, I hit the reservoirs. I had to increase the steering locks to remedy. Mind you, I did my tests static without coils and I'm running clayton arms with johnny joints. I doubt it...
  10. AEV Borah wheels on JL

So I got them mounted with Toyo MTs in 35x12.5 and I must say, they are HEAVY! The factory wheels with 33" ko2s were 70lbs, these weight in at 120lbs! I didn't weight the tires and wheels separately but toyo's website says they weight 75lbs so that makes the wheel + beadlock ring + bolts weight...
  11. overlanding weight issue with Jeep

I run air lift bags in the rear coils for when I'm loaded. Works great sor far.
  12. AEV Borah wheels on JL

In regards to the sheared bolts on the beadlock ring, I just received mine and they are now 10.9 rated. I think AEV is listening.
  13. Aftermarket Tie rod and stock backspacing wheels.

I would consider it, 1/8" ain't much and they are beefier than most people need.
  14. Aftermarket Tie rod and stock backspacing wheels.

Well, if you're willing to wait a month or so, I have that exact setup. Borah wheels, steermarts tie rod with fox stabilizer. I have the wheels and tie rod but the stabilizer is on its way.
  15. Got the JLUR stuck the other day, is rock track to blame?

Yes I have the rock-trak, the other option is select-trak and it wasn't available on rubicons in 2018.
  16. Reducing Body Roll, Suspension?Spring?Rear Sway Bar? Air Bags?

Would've been nice if you did one and then the other to see which one makes the most difference.
  17. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

Yikes... They shouldn't say it fits then. That warn winch is pretty big, I'd assume other winches might have less issues. I doubt Genright would make a bumper that can't accomodate any winch. Also, returning it is out of the question at this point. I have all the tools and knowledge to go...
  18. Got the JLUR stuck the other day, is rock track to blame?

I have a tazer as well and full disable of ESC/TCS doesn't prevent the front wheels from getting power. The rock-trak on the rubicon is a part time transfer case that is actuated manually. Once it is in 4Hi/Lo, power is mechanically sent to the front axle (unless there is something broken). Like...
  19. Reducing Body Roll, Suspension?Spring?Rear Sway Bar? Air Bags?

Like everyone is saying, the relocation braket would make a big difference. I will add, since I have a very similar overland setup (rtt, 270 awning, cabinet+fridge in back), that an air lift is almost required. My stock rubicon suspension would squat and roll like crazy before I added an air...
  20. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

Huh... that sucks, I contacted genright and they assured me that combo works. The bumper is already ordered, I guess I'll measure it out before ordering the winch.
