  1. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

I agree we should not have to deal with it and it sucks but it's obvious jeep is not going to do anything about it. Glad my Ram doesn't do it. If it did i would buy a different brand truck. For me nothing compares to a jeep so i'll just have to deal with it rather than buy something else.
  2. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

I thought about wiring one the switch's on the dash to control the power to the damper but it's really easy to unplug it.
  3. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

Yeah, i have been running with mine unplugged since last winter. I did have to plug it back in last winter for about a month to make the defrost work better.
  4. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

The dealer cannot fix it. For some dumb reason Jeep made it that way. supposedly to bring fresh air in at times, which would be fine if it was brought in through the filter and not just dumping outside air in the cabin. In the winter you will get cold air coming in. To stop it , look at my post...
  5. JLU AMP Powerstep?

Wife and i installed the Amp steps on ours. Installation of the steps is pretty easy. The wiring connections in the cab are behind the pass kick panel and difficult to get to if your a big guy [ unless you took the seat out]. My wife was able to get in there and make the connections. They work...
  6. Auto stop start (ESS) permanent disable / defeat by unplugging hood sensor

Instead of the hood sensor i unplugged the battery monitor wire on the negative cable[small black wire]. No problems with the dealer, even showed them what i did.
  7. Arizona owners - please check in!

Not from there but love the area there. We had visited many times in the past when my parents lived there. Always went to cave creek to visit a friend and party at Harolds.
  8. Destination to $1445!!!

    Yeah, my truck was $1695.
  9. Keeping windshield clean

I tried pam on a trip to new orleans when the love bugs were heavy. It really didn't help me any, maybe the bugs are bigger down there. I got to the hotel and the parking guy offered to wash my truck for free because it was so bad. I gave him a good tip. I sprayed it again when we left to come...
  10. JLU AMP Powerstep?

Install wasn't too bad but no way could i get down there and do the splicing of the wires. My wife is small [5' 2"]and she was able to make the connections ok.
  11. ESS poll~ love it, hate it, leave it?

It sucks. I have the battery monitor wire unplugged so it doesn't bug me anymore. Like a fly in the cabin, you don't think about it till it's in your face, then you want to shoot it.
  12. BonusDrive $500 Cash Back Offer

Not on my jeep, i traded a 16 JKU on it and i don't remember them asking that on my Ram. I also got $500 Sam's club rebate when i did the deal and there they asked about trading a different brand. I traded a Ford.
  13. BonusDrive $500 Cash Back Offer

It's a good deal. I got $500 for my jeep, took 4 months. I am now waiting for my $250 for my Ram.
  14. JLU AMP Powerstep?

Interesting. One thing i noticed after using them a bit is they don't deploy out as far as they did on my JKU. I did call them and discussed it with them. They called me back after talking to the engineer's and said the distance between the pinch weld [below the doors] and the frame was less on...
  15. Auto stop start (ESS) permanent disable / defeat by unplugging hood sensor

Well it's been really cold around here [20's] and my defroster hasn't been doing it's job so i had to plug the damper motor back in. Guess i'll have to deal with the cold air coming in occasionally until it warms up some.
  16. Anyone have the AMP power steps on their JL?

We got them installed today. The instructions said 3-5 hours and we had 6-7 but took our time. Installing the boards is the easy part. The wiring under the pass side kick panel is where it gets hard. No way i could do it. My wife [5'2"] could get down there to make the connections. You have to...
  17. Anyone have the AMP power steps on their JL?

I got an email from 4wheelparts today that said mine have been shipped.
  18. Smart Stop Start-Worth Every Penny!!!

Totally agree. It's like a dang fly buzzing around the cabin. You don't think about it till it's in your face, then you want to shoot it.
  19. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

I was concerned that the defrost would not work well when it gets cold because it uses outside air. It's been wet and cold here and the defrost has been working fine. It will probley just stay unplugged.
  20. While the A/C is on, The Jeep randomly blows HOT air from the floor vents for 3-5 mins then stops

I have had mine unplugged pretty much all summer with no problems. As far as what the shop foreman said, that's fine as long as it goes through the hvac system and not just dump it from the outside straight into the cabin. That's how it should have been designed, imo.
