I recently installed KC Daylighters on Mopar “bumper“ mounts (which actually mount to the frame, behind the bumper). I prefer the old school look of round lights at bumper height.
The night photo is from my aiming session, with stock fog lights also on.
The KCs are excellent, of course, but...
With the return of the Islander package apparently "in the works", maybe it's time for the return of another famous trim...a trim that resolves the aforementioned blurring between the Sport S and the Sahara.
Perhaps FCA can bring back the original luxury Jeep, the "Tuxedo Park".

I, too, recently installed KCs (in my case Daylighters) on the Mopar bumper mounts. I like the old school look of this setup...but I agree with you; the Mopar mounts, while frame mounted and quite sturdy, are a real chore to install.
