  1. Why Not A Rubicon?

Similar but not the same. When the LSD kicks in it will lock the differential much more than the BLD would. I've seen mine at work on trails and it essentially locks the diff, not sure if it is the LSD alone or the BLD+LSD combination that works so well.
  2. Why Not A Rubicon?

Locking your differential at high speeds is very dumb. The stress that the outer wheel is going to create when turning is gonna ruin the driveshaft or whatever. Differentials are supposed to be open when driving on roads... an LSD is perfect for dynamic driving conditions in snow or dirt roads...
  3. Washing Naked..? (Possible Dumb Question)

I used to do it all the time, until the neighbors called the cops on me. Do it, dont let others shame you. Your body your choice.
  4. Motor Trend confirms steering issue fix made to 2020 Jeep JL (gear valve tuning & pump calibration changes)

so seems like the issue is there. Some people swear that fixing caster deals with the issue, so they install the mopar lift LCAs. When I test drove jeeps, I noticed Rubicons had more play than sports. Rubicons sit higer than the sport and I think use the same LCA. I have 2 mopar lift LCAs...
  5. Motor Trend confirms steering issue fix made to 2020 Jeep JL (gear valve tuning & pump calibration changes)

I wonder the same. I never felt my 2018 sport or my 2019 Sport S had any steering issues. But after driving a 2020 Camry for a while the jeeps steering definitely feels funky. With that said, FCA did modify steering components for the 2020 model, so... there must have been something wrong. Would...
  6. Why Not A Rubicon?

If you find rubi take offs sure. still an expensive solution. I am personally not interested in running anything bigger than 33s. So I intend to keep my sport axles and understand the limitations, which I am ok with since thats all I need. The build that I have in mind for the future has a rear...
  7. Motor Trend confirms steering issue fix made to 2020 Jeep JL (gear valve tuning & pump calibration changes)

I doubt FCA would recall every single wrangler JL from 2018. We gotta live with our cheap steering.
  8. Why Not A Rubicon?

Absolutely, lockers make a huge difference. They should offer at least a rear locker on the Sport S trim and Sahara, it wouldn't raise the price of the Jeep at all that much. The LSD they offer, although a cheap upgrade for nicer tires + stronger axle, doesn't cut it, it kinda works when the BLD...
  9. Why Not A Rubicon?

That warranty doesn'l last that long anyway. Can always do it once it is over. The only real issue is resale value if you care much about it
  10. Why Not A Rubicon?

Lol I didn't mind the steering of the Jeep, until a few weeks ago I bought a new 2020 Camry and I can't believe how loose the Jeep is now!. But hey, it is a high clearance 2 solid axles vehicle. Before the Camry I had a 2013 corolla as my daily commuter, and in all honesty, the difference was...
  11. Does anyone actually like start-stop

I like it, it saves me some gas $. I wish my new Camry had it. I don't know what the big deal is, or why people hate it so much. I haven't had any issues with it (knock on wood). It bothers me as much as it bothers me to wear a cloth mask while at the grocery store or going out for coffee. The...
  12. Why Not A Rubicon?

There is absolutely no need to justify any Jeep. The Rubicon cost what it costs because of the features it comes with. The sport cost what it costs for the same reasons. In both cases you get what you pay for, theres no trick here. It all comes down to how much money you wanna spend and what...
  13. Why Not A Rubicon?

Lol you can do A LOT more than this with a sport. for this just get a subaru.... the JL sport has about the same ground clearance a JK rubicon has, and if you disconnect you get great articulation. It still has a front solid axle, pretty impressive 4lo and fits 33s easily. The Rubicon JL is a...
  14. Why Not A Rubicon?

The price difference between sport and Rubicon are not as small as people suggest. I was able to get a pretty good deal on a sport S, but when looking at Rubicons it was much harder to get them to drop the price. The MSRP might not be that fair, but the real value of the vehicle is larger. I...
  15. How often do ya’ll drive naked and what do you use for protection?

Ive had the top off for months this year, we just got used to it. I do have an alien sunshade and a cover for when the Jeep is parked. I got the cover from quadratec takes me about 15 seconds to put it on. Interior and exterior are protected from the sun.
  16. Wrangler goes airborne

You are most probably right. Still funny. Poor guy though, drunk and all I hope he is ok. I read somewhere he survived, I am not sure what his condition is.
  17. What are you guys using for roof racks?

Their website states it only fits the 4 door. As of now, for no drill option the exposed racks with the feet for weight distribution seems to be the best option for 2 doors. With that said, I've been waiting for over a month for mine, and it is still unclear when I will be receiving them....
  18. Wrangler goes airborne

If it wasn't for the freedom panels he would have probably broken his neck or crushed his skull, as a regular top would not have pop out like that.
  19. Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Recommendations?

Any news on disconnects? All I've seen is massive links that require you to have a wrangler touching the clouds or some that require you to chop off your jeep. Teraflex claims they tested theirs with all JL models, including sport, but those links are almost as long as (thats whay she said)...
