  1. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@Roky @hoag4147 so the good news is the shop was willing to order the pads on their dime and install them for free They also agree that if the pads weren't in the kit that they should have caught it before doing the install instead of the tech just installing the springs on top of the OEM pads...
  2. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Well, I'm back, the shop is only about 10 minutes from my house. I didn't even have to give em Hell. The manager came out, I explained, he took pictures and said he doesn't see any reason they can't make this right for me. I gave him the PN#s and he said he'd make some calls and to expect a...
  3. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Thanks for everything @Roky and @hoag4147 , I'm headed to the shop now. I'll update you on what they say.
  4. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@hoag4147 @Roky Glad you pointed that out. PN# RK06703K for the rear has at the bottom *For use with standard JL springs. So it makes sense that they look identical. I guess I need to give them the PN# for the side specific rear springs then.
  5. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@hoag4147 @Roky are the correction pads you posted the same pads that normally come in the RK kit? If so, I will ask the shop to order them AND insist they install them for free since it was their negligence that caused all of this. But if the correction pads are different than the pads in...
  6. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Ok. Thanks again for the great advice!
  7. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@Roky I think I'm safe in that regard. I had them install fox 2.0 shocks for 2-3 inch lifts.
  8. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@Roky thanks again. I remember when I called the shop to get a early status on their progress and I remember the manager telling me that they had laid all the parts out to make sure everything was accounted for. So if the perches were missing, they had an opportunity to tell me. My guess is...
  9. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

It wasn't too difficult to take a pic of the rear passenger side, once I got underneath, I had a clear view of the perch. But the driver side was blocked by a huge bracket. I had to contort myself a bit to get under the wheel well to get a pic from an angle with a view unobstructed by the huge...
  10. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Let me try to snap a shot. They don't seem as easy to take a pic of as the fronts.
  11. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@hoag4147 @Roky @Rodeoflyer thanks a lot for the great advice. Now I have to go to the shop and show my ass. Well, I won't show my ass but they need to make this right for me. Of course now, they'd have to order RK pad for me because I'm sure the ones from the kit are long gone.
  12. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Ok, I think that's what I see underneath each spring in the picture from the website. Just to be clear so I don't sound like a noob when I go back to the shop, these are supposed to be on the bottom of the new springs? And if so, you're saying I still have my OEM isolators based on what you see...
  13. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

Interesting. Ok. We're these isolators supposed to be included in the kit? I don't mind ordering some, just curious if they were in the kit and the shop was negligent and didn't install them. Also, if I do nothing, can this become catastrophic?
  14. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

@Roky here is my example of bowed springs. Both driver and passenger springs bow slightly outward
  15. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

I'll definitely post one this evening after I get home from work.
  16. Spring bowed on 2.5 inch RK lift Adventure Series 2

So, I have an adventure series lift as well, installed about 1.5 months ago. I noticed that my front springs are bowed. Thought it looked a little weird but with my lack of knowledge I figured maybe that's how they are supposed to be. What can happen if I don't do anything about it?
  17. Bought a new Jeep for my nephew!

What a garbage build on that Jeep. Just look at that awful wheel and tire combo. It'll never see dirt and will forever be a pavement princess :LOL:
