@AllMoparParts.com makes the dash piece and it is a simply DIY replacement. Just can't decide if I want to go that route. Curious to know how the leather is holding up on the dash with the sun beating on it. I am for sure ordering the center console piece I linked above. They also make the...

Thanks, I am going to order the Mopar center armrest. It looks like it will be close enough. Can't decide if I am going to order the leather dash or not. Apparently the arm rests are different and are not a direct replacement for the non leather door rest...

I saw a few pics of this design online and went for it. I figured as long as I am going to go custom, I might as well make the design look different from the all black stock leather. These were ordered directly through my local dealer and then taken to a upholstery shop by the dealer for...
  4. Experience with 39” BFGoodrich KM3’s Mud Terrain Tires

Those are E rated, right? Notice much difference between that and the D's? I could not get the D's to flex as much on my TJ that weighed nearly the same as my JL.
  5. I'm thinking of trading to a Bronco

I am OK with Jeep continuing to be a bit rough. It has always been more utilitarian than most of the competition. If they end up going with an IFS suspension on any wrangler, I doubt they would offer a different route for the Rubicon. It would be nice, but my fear is if they try to appeal to...
  6. I'm thinking of trading to a Bronco

Did you ask to drive another 2 door Jeep to see if they all drive like this and it is just you? To me that would make the most sense. Then you would know if there was something different about yours. I don't mean that to sound harsh, but I really see a lot of people coming over from much...
  7. talk to me about tinting

I was hoping so, but with some of the other posts on here I was not sure!
  8. talk to me about tinting

    Your joking, right?
  9. Rough Country Front Diff Skid (M210 - '21 Rubicon) Question

What brand paint and color did you use? Looks good. I see the welds on yours are crap as well. I grinded some of mine down a bit because I could not stand looking at them. The welds on the front actually had some sharp points to them... The skid does its job though! I have dragged it over...
  10. Rough Country Front Diff Skid (M210 - '21 Rubicon) Question

Yes, I installed the bolts on the diff cover first. Should not make much difference though as the back portion should be flush with the output shaft area of the differential like the picture. Mine was completely flush. I may have torqued the metal together a bit when I tightened it. Can't...
  11. Rough Country Front Diff Skid (M210 - '21 Rubicon) Question

Something is either wrong with it or you are mounting it too far back. I just went down to the garage and both sides are flush like the picture from the manual. I don't remember having to torque it down to get it right.

  13. 5680 lbs without cargo/passengers...

Weight above is probably right, but don't forget that is not all plus weight, the OEM wheels and tires probably weigh 450. Yes, the ACE stuff is heavy, but I have had aluminum bumpers before on my TJ. They were not that much lighter and cost a ton more once you include powder coating. These...

So your 39's measure 37 and a quarter inch?
  15. Experience with 39” BFGoodrich KM3’s Mud Terrain Tires

The problem with the KM3's is that the true size is at least an inch off. My 37 KM3's measured 36"... What is the mounted height on the 39"?
  16. 5680 lbs without cargo/passengers...

Yeh, will probably replace the MC underbelly skids with the aluminum ones that get rid of the gas tank skid as well. Don't want to replace all the bumpers with aluminum though. Jeep still handles fine and I am the only one that drives it.
  17. 5680 lbs without cargo/passengers...

Agree, the brakes seem to be the weak point right now as it takes noticeably longer to stop. I may end up just replacing the axles with Dana 60's as they come with the bigger brakes.
  18. 5680 lbs without cargo/passengers...

Spotted a scale while out driving around and decided to weigh in. Was surprised to see that I was already at 5680 lbs. without anyone in the vehicle or cargo. The gas tank was about 3/4 full. I could easily exceed 6000 pounds with myself and one other person in the vehicle and a few tools...
  19. talk to me about tinting

We can agree to disagree. Your excuse to get out of the ticket is the same principle. I have never heard a defense work that "says someone else (even law enforcement) broke the law so I should not have to obey it either." Would love to hear how it plays out in court for you. With that said...
  20. talk to me about tinting

"It works exactly as Mule says it works...you snap pics of a PSP Troop parking lot full of tinted cars, and submit it as evidence. That was his idea, not mine...and I have to admit, it's a good one." I HIGHLY doubt that would work! The same theory would be taking a picture of a police officer...
