  1. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

To the ppl that are just using long bolts that go thru the frame. Probably won't make a different but you are going thru a hollow frame and puting clamping forces on both sides of the frame, you probably will be collapsing the frame a bit when you tighten them down. In most cases that you do...
  2. ROAM - Rock Rails w/lights - wiring ?

That should be fine. But that means they will only be on when you have the switch on. They won't come on when you unlock the doors.
  3. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

So how did you guys install the upper bolt on the rear frame bracket that attaches via the rivnuts? The bolts included are bigger than in the picture in the DIY thread and I can't seem to get a wrench in there to tighten it up.
  4. ROAM JL Rock Rails (MK1, JLU 4 Door) Install Guide - Revision 1.0

So how did you guys install the upper bolt on the rear frame bracket that attaches via the rivnuts? The bolts included are bigger than in the picture and I can't seem to get a wrench in there to tighten it up.
  5. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

I have mine installed except for the 4th bracket. Had to order a new rivnut because I messed up one. There is a very noticeable gap between the body and the rails. The closest I could get them is probably a finger tip away, wanted them a bit closer to the body. There is also i big gap...
  6. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

So who has installed the latest version? Started installing mine today and it’s not lining up like the pics and previous versions did.
  7. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

When I stopped by to pick mine up they had a lot of steps out ready to ship.
  8. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

M12 1.75 I messed up one so now I'm going to have to find one local.
  9. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

Of course I’m out of town the week I’m supposed to be able to pick mine up. But no email yet saying they are ready.
  10. Should this Guy Have Used a Jeep Instead?

Hahaha. I know it was sarcastic but would have to melt the snow to drink it. I guess eating snow for water cause problems in the body.
  11. What side steps / rock rails to add to JL Wrangler?

They do not mount to both as far as I've seen. They bolt to the pinch seem, regular tub mount and the body bolts. Since they bolt up using the bolts and not the mount I believe they will move with the body. They have some pics on their site. They also have an option to have a flat step...
  12. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

I'm betting no one is really thinking of this for the most part. I could be wrong but I would think about 99% of Jeep wrangler lifts are either regular suspension lift or spring spacers.
  13. Roam sidestep Rust

I heard from him on 2/26 about picking up my frame mounted rails around the middle of March.
  14. The newest Last Mango

Looks really nice man. Love the wheels, if the were so darn expensive vs others in the market.
  15. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

Welp, another week down. I hate emailing him cuz I know he is busy, usually only email him about once a month. But coming up on the 3 month mark and it's got me a little antsy.
  16. Enough power for Colorado?

I second that. If it were me, I would get the 2.0 if you live at altitude. Not that it's a must, I'm sure the 3.6 will be fine. It's just the turbo motor will be better, esp if you plan on bigger tires.
  17. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

What was your order date? Mine was 12/7 and was supposed have gotten mine this week. But seeing as I haven’t heard anything yet and it’s Thursday, I’m guessing it’s not happening this week.
  18. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

Been commented on in this thread before. Most likely is that they are so far backlogged on them now, best to let them catch up before it gets tooo far out of hand.
  19. 93 Octane! I like it!

If your 3.6 knocks more when cold then it's an issue with the engine. Most of the time when you say knock that means spark knock, aka pre-detonation. Colder air deters spark knock.
  20. Loving my ROAM frame-mounted side steps/rock sliders

Houston. Not too far from their shop.
