  1. What are “Lockers”? (glad you asked)

I would take it in to have it looked at, shifting to 4H should almost never grind.
  2. Teach me 4WD

Shifting into 4H, this can be done at speeds below 80km/h(50mp/h), simply pull the shift leaver from 2H to 4H. It should engage without any issue. To shift into 4L, move the Jeep to a slight incline so that it can roll forward. Put you foot on the break, place the transmission into neutral...
  3. JL & JLU Wrangler Axle Gear Ratios: 3.45, 3.73, 4.10

So with this information I guess they brought back the 2-door Sahara? I’m glad to see that if it is true; it bugged me too much that they would axe a part of the model that really wasn’t that much of a manufacturing challenge. As for the JT I’m wondering what if the premium section listed is...
  4. More JLU pics finally (with Interior)

It’s an automatic everyone, if you look at the last image posted from the original, look beside the transfer case shifter and you can see very faint markings. To me it looks like the standard automatic pattern with a manual/drive or sport/drive position. I might be wrong and it might just be...
  5. JL/JLU Wrangler 2.0L Turbo Gets 368 HP (Source: FCA docs to NHTSA)!

Don’t worry, I’m still in it for the diesel!
  6. Need some advice on Gas vs Diesel

For me I'm going with diesel, this is going to be my first new vehicle and it will hopefully last me 20 years or so. With that I think after those 20 years diesel will be a very hard option to get in vehicles due to all the emission regulations on them. I prefer them because of the power, you...
  7. Ordering vs. Dealer Stock Availability?

Sorry I mistakenly uploaded my post twice
  8. Ordering vs. Dealer Stock Availability?

I'm in the same boat, I've ridden in JKs before and didn't mind the ride at all. I do own a 08 ranger and tbh the JKs ride and engine is very much a step or so above, so it's only up for comfort for me. Personally I'm planning on ordering after 2 years of production, that way most of the bugs...
  9. Composite bed

Is anyone hoping that the JT will get a composite bed something like the Tacoma. I recently went camping using a friends Tacoma and I was impressed on how the bed has held up (the truck was abused more than average and is getting up their in age). Would the lighter material and no need for a...
  10. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Hits Dealer System - 1st Official Look @ Engines, Options, Packages, Features!

So I was reading up on the optional select trac transfer case for the Sahara and I saw that it was an electronic shift on the fly system. I thought that people would be up in arms with this as it's more of a casual off road t-case due to it working with clutches and not a chain system; in...

So I was reading up on the optional select trac transfer case for the Sahara and I saw that it was an electronic shift on the fly system. I thought that people would be up in arms with this as it's more of a casual off road t-case due to it working with clutches and not a chain system; in...
  12. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Hits Dealer System - 1st Official Look @ Engines, Options, Packages, Features!

I think that the new rubicon will be like the hard rock in looks and extra features.
  13. Export Only: All-New 2018 Sahara Overland JL Wrangler

That's what I'm saying, they all have the same base components, and the only reason why you can't get some features available on some trims; is because of marketing to push you up to the next price point. This is unless their is some parts that take the same space of the other part ie. rock...
  14. Export Only: All-New 2018 Sahara Overland JL Wrangler

I'm not really believing the rumours that the Sahara trim is gone for the two-door. Seeing how both sizes have almost the same parts(with the four-door having some elongated/minor extra parts. I wouldn't see why it would be so difficult to build the sorter version of the Sahara, especially when...
  15. Our Latest 2019 Jeep JT Pickup Info and Preview Images

For the arguments that the bed and the body would be hard to assemble, here is a explorer sport track. It has a similar line but not as extreme as shown in the renders. It was built upon a body on frame architecture and shared with the regular explorer(a derivative HD frame of the Ranger). I'm...
  16. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

I hope so too, been watching for any news on the Ecodiesel being approved.
  17. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

Hey everyone, I'm currently an owner of a 2008 2WD Ford ranger and I'm planning on upgrading to my first jeep. I'm planning on getting a JTU diesel in white and hopefully upgrade a few things and hopefully join a wheeling group. I've wanted to get one for the longest time as the wrangler reminds...
  18. EcoDiesel Engine Concerns? (Cam gear slip)

I don't think there will be any major issues by the time the new models are released. Most major issues are worked out in the first few years. I also doubt FCA would allow a flagship engine have such a critical failure at such a low mileage.
