  1. Gecko Color and Gorilla Glass Now on Jeep.com Wrangler Build & Price

I remember that, though in this case you couldn’t complain as it was depicted accurately. 🤣
  2. Just got home from Bronco event...

They are cool, but imagine the JL had no mirrors, just the rear view camera; how would you back up when as happens so often you just see static on the head end display? Same with the cameras, they seem an unnecessary complication for an issue that could have been solved by having the seating...
  3. Just got home from Bronco event...

Call me naïve, and it's not a Bronco thing as JKs and JLs were this way too compared to the TJ, but why not just have the seating position high enough that you can judge where the front wheels are instead of adding cameras that are likely to go out at the worst possible moment?
  4. Gecko Color and Gorilla Glass Now on Jeep.com Wrangler Build & Price

Wouldn't it be hilarious if they did come that way?
  5. Just got home from Bronco event...

(Cough) Wrangler manual transmission clutch pressure plates (Cough.) Also, on most any hardtop by any other manufacturer, the rear window defroster cable manages to stay attached… Not meant to be a pure attack on Jeep, but slamming presumed Bronco reliability is rather a pot/kettle situation.
  6. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

That's not true. Both USB and BT use the DAC in the head end, the difference is the format of the data. Via USB, audio is usually passed along as straight data - MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC or whatever format the head end can handle, but it's a regular data stream. Via BT, audio must first be...

It depends; as an example, Mustangs have had transmission issues and though the transmissions are technically made in China they were designed by the German firm Getrag and built in a brand new plant Getrag specifically built in China to build transmissions, so it's not as simple a distinction...

Just luck then. I'm on my fifth frameless window car and I still know to pull the handle, wait a half second for the window to drop then open the door.
  9. Just got home from Bronco event...

All I know is my TJ was the single most unreliable vehicle I've ever owned. 😥 Anyone considering a Bronco should really grab the dash above the glove compartment and move it up and down and see if that's what they want to listen to for the next several years. 🤮
  10. Just got home from Bronco event...

Which is something anyone who's owned a vehicle with frameless windows learns in about a day; it's really no big deal.
  11. Just got home from Bronco event...

Watching off-road videos, I don't see how this doesn't get worn on/caught on obstacles.
  12. Is Soft Top Lack of Security a Farce?

When it comes to parking with the top down, I've always thought of Caddyshack and the sunroof.
  13. Biggest mark up for a 392 so far? MSRP of 80k - Dealer price of 125k!

Why does it matter? Their additional sticker is what they are asking for it. You can pay it or try to negotiate them down from it, just as they are free to ignore any offers below it.
  14. Just got home from Bronco event...

I do have to agree with what others have said and mention now that I've seen video of Broncos going over obstacles, wondering how quickly these bolts are going to be ground off/hopelessly bent by rocks.

Hey, Fast Lane agrees with me! (Jump to 10:23 if it doesn't automatically.)
  16. Biggest mark up for a 392 so far? MSRP of 80k - Dealer price of 125k!

Which is precisely why they won't deal. It's a long way until the 2022 models start rolling in, and someone whose vehicle just got totaled or who just got a big bonus check will buy one of those no matter what they charge. Supply and demand. The only problem is people will remember those...
  17. Biggest mark up for a 392 so far? MSRP of 80k - Dealer price of 125k!

Smart dealer. As mentioned, the owner collects race cars and sees these vehicles as "halo" vehicles that will bring people into the dealership. If someone actually offers that much, he'll sell them the vehicle, otherwise it will eventually go into his collection as intended. You see the same...

    You can bet they will!
  19. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

So I get the corrosion where dissimilar metals meet and/or are uncoated, but what the heck is Jeep screwing up to see this happen at the bottom of doors? Clogged drains that lets water just sit and corrode the door?
  20. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

The problem with car rentals is it's usually done via an outside company. True story: My dealer rented me a car when my Jeep was in the shop. That rental agency went out of business a year later and sold their assets to another firm. My dealer did not in fact pay for my rental, so a...
