  2. What Traction Boards/Mats are Everyone Using?

I ordered a pair of these from https://gotreads.com/ Not sure if they are any better then the solid ones, but I like that they can fold up and store easily.
  3. Some good lessons for overlanding solo

There is also a product by gotreds at https://gotreads.com/ as an option to some of the pricier traction boards.
  4. Renter or Jeeper?

Wasn't there this last week, but would have waved had I seen you. Photo taken January 2019 when I had my JL only one month. I must say the cold weather package came in really handy (it was -20 degrees).
  5. Electrical outlet

I thought an outlet was standard on all Saharas and Rubicons.
  6. LED Turn Signals

Correct, no resistors required. Just take out the original bulb, replace with the LED. Done.

  8. Christmas lights in Jeep

Humbug from Washington. SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA -- Celebrating the most wonderful time of the year ended up getting a driver in Washington pulled over on Monday. Washington State Patrol stopped someone on Highway 99 near Lynnwood for driving with Christmas lights on their roof rack, which is a...
  9. LED Turn Signals

I also ordered Oracle LED Switchback bulbs, so far, no problems. I really like how bright the amber turn signals are. I have to remember to look away from them when I lock or unlock the jeep because they are so bright...
  10. DIY: Rear hatch LED light strip

Sooo, I finally got around to doing this mod. Thanks for the idea. I was going to get the Brawlee version, but when I saw this, I knew this was the way to go. Having the red light option at night is much better for when I'm out doing some night photography rather than blinding my self.
  11. Rear glass panel noise

^^^^ For me it was worth every penny to stop that annoying squeak.
  12. Rear glass panel noise

The roll I got was 1/8" wide. I put down two strips just for more coverage area and has worked like a charm since. I have not had a squeak from the tail gate since putting it on. I have noticed the tape starting to peel a little at the hinge side of the tail gate. If it starts to come up...
  13. iPad for GPS????

I don't think they do. I have the latest iPad Mini 5 without the cellular service and pair Garmin GLO GPS receiver for navigation. I use both Google Street Maps and GAIA, but mostly Google Maps. As mentioned before, the maps must be downloaded beforehand over a wi-fi connection. I have also...
  14. Flashlights, where are you all mounting them?

^^^^^ That was a quick DIY. I had the clips already from my previous XJ and just used zip-ties to secure the clips to the head-rest posts. It seems secure and is in reach when I need it.
  15. Rear glass panel noise

^^^^ It is for me. Not a squeak since I put it on.
  16. LED Tail Lights

For anyone watching this thread, I noticed this on the Spyder web site. The first three items on their New Items August page are the sequential tail lights in Black, Black Smoke and Chrome. Hopefully soon. https://www.spyderauto.com/new.php?date=2019-08
  17. Tuffy security deck for JL Wrangler

Hope this helps. There is quite a bit of space with the seats down.
  18. Tuffy security deck for JL Wrangler

Only when I arrived late at night at a campground, used the FOB to lock the jeep, then tried to unlock the jeep with the key in the passenger's door and set off the alarm!
