  1. Diesel JL Club Thread

A little delayed posting here....just some cosmetic stuff for now, but a new heat-expulsion hood is at the body shop being painted. I hope to have it installed at the end of the week! ACE rock sliders, 2.5" lift, 35s and bumpers are next on the list.....
  2. North Carolina Roll Call

Just barging in here to say, "Hi!" --and wondering if anyone would be open to hitting Uwharrie on 8/7 and playing guide. Completely stock JLURD right now, but have wheeled extensively at Rausch Creek, so I have recovery gear and GMRS. Thank you in advance for any info!
  3. Next Venture JLU Aluminum Belly Skids

I guess I'm the guinea pig on this. I wanted the Artec system, but got tired of waiting for their diesel-specific skids. I snagged Next Venture's aluminum diesel skid system and rear diff skid during their July 4th sale and will update this thread once everything's installed--which will be...
  4. Driving home was a bit of a chore. Loose steering

Just a thought on the tires being overpressured: Possibly to avoid/minimize tire flat spots during transit. The dealership PDI should really reset the tire pressures to what's on the placard.
  5. NC Visit: Anyone for Uwharrie 8/7?

Hi NC Folks! I'll be in the Durham area for a client visit and thought I would do some wheeling at Uwharrie on Saturday 8/7. I was wondering if anyone would be open to running with a stock (for now) JLURD and playing guide. Thank you in advance!
  6. Diesel fuel

Not typically. Most stations usually have at least one 'auto diesel' pump. However, in case you need to use the 'big-rig' pumps, Jeep included an adapter--it's usually stored with the jack.

  8. Wrangler as a daily driver?

I'm using my JLURD as a utility vehicle: daily driver, cargo carrier when needed and occasional offroading. Love the torque and gas mileage over my JKUR. Don't hesitate to use your JL as a daily driver!
  9. Tailgate Table - compare

I can't speak to other metal tailgate tables, but the Trailgater by Outback Adventures doesn't rattle. I had a 2013 JKUR that I wheeled extensively (Rausch Creek, Windrock) with a JK Trailgater--totally silent. I now have a JLURD with the new JL Trailgater and it's silent as well.
  10. New Member & Initial Review! BMW X3 M40i to JLU Sport S!

  14. New Jeep Uncertainty?

I'm biased here, but absolutely go Hotheads. They're a forum sponsor and have not only great products, but outstanding customer service.
  15. Rubicon Build General Thoughts

I assume you're wheeling at Rausch and AOAA. (I used to live in S Central PA.) Unfortunately, can't help with the 37s or lift, but here's a question for you: Wouldn't debris from the trails potentially mess up the slots/drilled holes on the rotors and decrease the brake effectiveness?
  16. 2020 AEV JL370 Hella Yella JLUR Delivered

You have the option of doing a factory order and having Jeep drop-ship your new rig to them in Wixom, MI for the conversion--you'd need to order through an AEV dealer--or bring your Jeep to them. AEV can do conversions on the 2-door or 4-door platform. Hope this helps!
  17. Passenger Taillight Moisture Issue

Looks like you have the LED package. It's time to take it to the dealership, because the tail lamp is one integrated piece, so there's no 'changing the bulb'.

  20. Mopar Sidesteps on Rubicon? Opinions Please

Depends on how you use your Rubicon. The side steps instead of the rock rail would make it more of a mall crawler to me, but it's your money and your rig.
