  1. Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack System

Yes, definitely a good setup IMO. No rattling or shifting, at least none that I noticed. Only negatives for me were the latches on two of the frontrunner brackets ended up close to the mounting location for the RTT straps, but this should not be a problem for you with a hard shell, and there...
  2. Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack System

That is correct. Also, once I aligned everything where I wanted it the first time I put a paint mark on the platform at each bracket front and back. I always take the lower bracket mounts off the platform when the RTT is not on and this allows quick reinstallation in the exact location. When...
  3. Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack System

eman20 Here are a few pics I could find that kind of show the mounts. The Frontrunner mounts hold the RTT 2.5" above the rack. This allows the skirt of the RTT to perfectly hide the mounts and the gap when deployed.
  4. Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack System

I ended up using the Frontrunner quick release brackets and could not be happier. I can easily put my ~200 lb. CVT RTT on myself. And when not using the RTT all brackets come off the rack easily. All thats required is to measure the slots on the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform you want to use...
  5. Motor Trend confirms steering issue fix made to 2020 Jeep JL (gear valve tuning & pump calibration changes)

The steering gearbox adjustment IS the fix. I have around 30k miles on my 2018 JLUR after the gearbox adjustment (and tightening of all the steering linkage joints) and it still drives great. On my wife's 2018 JLU MOAB I did only the Mopar lower control arms for about 20k miles. It was OK...
  6. Rubicon vs Moab

Just so you know, Moab fenders are the same as Sahara and Sport.
  7. Rubicon vs Moab

Yes they are. But you can easily fit 33's on a Moab.
  8. Rubicon vs Moab

    No. Fenders are different.
  9. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

Anyone else catch that the Mohave Gladiator has a cast iron steering gearbox. Things that make you go Hmm...!
  10. First interstate highway run

...or, you are the guy coming up to the semi in the slow lane and the DB coming up in the fast lane decides to slow down and look at your rig when he is next to you causing you to kick off the cruise, drop to 60 mph, and wait for him to quit gawking. ARGH!!!
  11. Nav voice guidance issue

Finally got it fixed. Found the option to "Reset To Factory Settings" and that did the trick.
  12. Cool Tech's CB Antenna Kit for JL Wrangler - Available Now

Kendall, Have you considered making a bracket that has the mount moved further toward the door hinge so it would clear a larger tire? Don't know the cost of tooling to make that change and if it would be cost effective... but? I did flip mine over to make it work when I installed the 35s but...
  13. Cool Tech's CB Antenna Kit for JL Wrangler - Available Now

Just an FYI. With stock Rubicon wheels @ 21.5 lbs. and BFG KO2s (315/70/17) @ 64.4 lbs. I am at 85.9 lbs. and therefor above the Mopar recommended weight. However, with my combination and with the Mopar steel rear bumper I find that the tire actually rests on the bumper which should easily...
  14. Cool Tech's CB Antenna Kit for JL Wrangler - Available Now

That's exactly my setup. But you have to flip the the bracket so the antenna mounting hole is to the outside.
  15. Windshield that won’t clean

Barkeepers Friend is similar, but PPG recommends using Bon Ami. Been using it for over 30 years. Once you try it you will never try anything else.
  16. Locked out again

Figured it out. Apparently MY hood alarm got activated when I installed the Tazer JL. Kind of makes you want to ask why in the heck did Jeep put two hood sensors on a vehicle, where the hood can be opened from the outside, and not activate the alarm?
  17. Locked out again

Not true. Opening hood when vehicle is locked WILL sound the alarm.
  18. Will the 1/4" longer LCAs really improve the wandering issue?

Not sure where this rumor started but a buddy of mine just got a 2019 Rubicon last week with a recent build date and it DOES NOT have the longer LCAs.
  19. Will the 1/4" longer LCAs really improve the wandering issue?

You want maximum toe IN. That number is 0.20 degrees total.
